Bradie James was a pure tackling machine.

Yeah Bradie was a combination of size with speed. This combination has eluded us lately.

Trev Faulk.

You watch your damn mouth son.
So losing a Pro-Bowl linebacker doesn't hurt the team? Minter would have played, and probably played much better if Washington was still there.

Ali Highsmith and Bradie James

-George Bevan in the middle of that '69 team was better than Anderson IMHO.
-Warren Capone was a true stud, 2xAll American and the best linebacker in the country in '73
-Kevin Minter and Ali Highsmith were my personal favorites-not the best but I loved watching those two play (Kind of like Rohan wasn't the best QB ever at LSU, but he was my favorite to watch.)
-But when its all said and done, in my opinion, Michael Brooks was the best I've seen since I started following the Tigers in 60's.

Forgot about him. My bad. I'd also throw in Trev Faulk and Lionel Turner. They were good too.

Mike Anderson....best ever!

Mike Anderson early and Warren Capone later, in my fan watching.
Anderson was before my time. Mike Brooks was waaaayy better than Capone or anyone since Capone. I've been watching since the mid sixties, and no one since then comes close to Mike Brooks. Like someone said, it's a little puzzling that we haven't had a couple of more superstar LBs.

Michael Brooks would bring it on every play. I guess the schemes may have been different back then but Brooks was sacking quarterbacks and taking down rb's in the backfield. Guy did it for a longtime in tiger stadium and in the NFL with the Broncos and Giants.

For me, Michael Brooks and Eric Hill were on another level.
