Highsmith was an All American in 2007

Bradie James is the correct answer. Trev Faulk was very good as well.

A.J Duhe?

In my lifetime (i'm 29):
Bradie James
Kevin Minter
Trev Faulk
Kelvin Sheppard
I'm 29 too. I'd add Ali Highsmith to that list. Always liked his game.

Having a great one, every 2-3 years is just fine, imo..
I wouldn't even say we have a "great" one every few years. more like every 5-7 years over the past 25 and really had none from Brooks in 88 until Faulk and James arrived in 99, not really making their mark until 2000. Even when we were bad in the 90s we had great lineman and Dbs come through the program like McFarland, Northern, Donaldson, Wiley, Green, Roman, Hilliard, Walker etc. Even now in this present golden age, we almost always have a great lineman and secondary player on every team, while linebackers have been far and few comparatively. Not saying it's been bad for us because a strong line and secondary means you're going to do well defensively. Its just very odd we haven't fared better at LB with all the great defenses we've had

yeah I mentioned him a few posts later as someone who should def be mentioned. I also didn't lost guys in the second half of the 80s because I was too young to really remember the games.

Shep and Minter both had final beast seasons in tiger uniforms but Brooks career was like there final seasons.Eric Hill was nasty and the one tiger I was glad was on our side. Dude looked pissed on and off the field.

Mike Anderson early and Warren Capone later, in my fan watching.
George Bevan was the Honey Badger of the 60's. An undersized middle LB that made every freaking play. It seemed like he was everywhere!!

No A.J Duhe?
Was a DT, not LB.
My favorite LSU LB is Mike Anderson. I remember watching him when he played at Lee High.
