I'm only in my early 30's so some of the older deserving guys, I did not see.
I would have to say Bradie James. That Peach Bowl game against GTECH was awesome. To think, that was the high point of LSU football in my time. Never imagined that we would be and sustain being a national power.

Yeah i would edit if I needed too with the older generation. I got fom early 80's to present covered.
Was Gabe northern DE or linebacker at LSU?
James and Brooks had the best pro careers at linebacker.

True Dunson story right quick....
So I am at a scrimmage in 9___ (can't remember) and Dunson picks a ball off about 2 yards deep in the end zone on a real athletic play. There was only maybe a couple hundred people there so we could really here all the coaches and players yelling. Anyway, Dunson takes it out of the end zone and gets tackled on the 2.
So Dinardeaux yells at hime, "God Da*&nit Dunson. You just cost us 18 yards. Next time you pick a ball off in the end zone what are you gonna do???
Dunson yells back...."Sorry coach. next time I'm taking it to the house!"

You have to consider the type of schemes offenses were running back in the 60 and 70 and even early 80's. Mostly ran the ball back then so you had more physical contact between the offensive line and defense than you do now. Those guys back then were beast because they played the run more. Todays linebackers are more speed and agility to cover the rb's and te's on pass patterns. I believe in overall toughness back in the day were better. With wide open offenses like college football is turning now, todays lb's are still tough but more quicker and agile. I go old school.

Even the writers for purple & gold were laughing. His stupidity was all-american.

Honorable mention: Kevin Minter
Darryl Washington just got suspended for the entire year from the Cards so it looks like Minter will be starting this year. I am happy for Minter but this sucks for the team.

You watch your damn mouth son.

Bradie James
Kelvin Sheppard
Kevin Minter
Ali Highsmith
I'm also 21 btw, so I can't comment on Eric Hill, Michael Brooks, etc. because I have never seen them play live.

Perry Rielly (sp?) and Darry Beckwith don't belong on the top of the list, but they belong on the list.

Perry Reily is putting together a nice pro career but doesnt make top 10 on the list. I did like Beckwith he had good speed and was a good tackler from what I remember.
