Got my first season tickets in 1991. Think I’m done.

Not because of the shitty play yesterday, but more because I’m older and sorta done with all the bullshite associated with a gameday. Crowds, traffic, long lines for expensive shitty food, nasty bathrooms, oppressive heat for the first 2/3 of the year… oh, and NIL and the transfer portal have made this something other than the college football I love. No, I’m not a boomer. Time to spend my disposable income on something new and different.

But yeah, wasting an entire weekend to watch shitty football also helped me reach this point.

Sitting through traffic and pissing in nasty bathrooms is a lot easier when we aren’t getting ran out of the stadium, definitely agree

Your life will improve dramatically. And so will your pocketbook.

I’ll always watch lsu but it will just be on tv now. After I went to the South Carolina game last year I said never again. I felt like I was in a 3rd world country. All I smelled for those 5-6 hours was weed.

Keep your season tickers and choose two games to go to a year and sell the rest. That’s what I do

I honestly don’t know how people with kids that play sports or do things go to all the games

Season ticket holder since 1979. Still buying them to support the program.

Isn't this the third or fourth time you've been done?

I’m with ya. Last 5 games I’ve been to have all been L’s. Too much $ wasted.

(2024): USC 27, LSU 20
(2024) Alabama 42, LSU 13
(2025): Alabama 20, LSU 9
(2026): Ole Miss 32, LSU 24
(2026): Alabama 31, LSU 13

College football ain’t all that anymore. Born and raised on loyalty and team. This thing is now something unrecognizable.

No crime to be a Boomer and part of a generation that accomplished a great deal. Your point is right on.

You are not alone. This type of roster building and chasing an NFL structure is unsustainable. I know TV contracts keep pouring in, but when the passion of Joe Fan goes away it will destroy itself . It’s all court driven, overreaction rules to make up for the past system.

This is going to sound like I’m joking but I’m completely serious. If you’re a season ticket holder or even just go to these games, they should literally be paying YOU to go to these games. Think about it. The players are getting paid now because supposedly it was unfair that the TV execs were getting rich off of the TV product. Well, what does everybody say about what they love about college football? The pageantry. The passion. The environment. Well where does that come from? THE FANS! Everybody who shows up, sits in traffic, wades through the crowds, sits through the bullshite media time outs, etc. should all be getting a share of this money yet instead you’re paying thousands and thousands of dollars for a product that gets shittier and shittier with each passing year and what thanks do you get? They want MORE of YOUR money while THEY keep getting richer and richer. frick THIS shite!!!!

I got mine for the first time since 1990. I’m going to renew all 4 and either sell or give away the ones I don’t go to. Counting Texas, I will have made 5.

I think I’m going to go to one road game each year going forward, preferably in late October or November. I’ve enjoyed the games, but I do miss seeing all the games each Saturday.

We drive from Conroe. I think it will be more fun to join a good tailgate group.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Fortunately, I live in N Ga. I make 1 game a year in BR. Yesterday saved me $1000+
I comforted the Texas game, but now, f it.
I made the 2 hr drive to Auburn. Great day but I knew it was fools gold.
I don’t acre about cfb any longer after the induction of NIL and “open borders”, but I have to admit, yesterdays game really kicked me in the dick. I even apologized to my wife today because I’m so touchy.
It’s such a weird place to be- I thought we’d win, yet I was expecting a loss.

Amen brother. Haven’t been to a game in TS since the beatdown we gave 8&4 in 2019. Nothing beats the good ‘ol days (Saban years) and I choose not to soil those memories with LSU’s current gameday disaster. Should the gameday experience ever change, I’ll return for a game or two but, in the meantime, I’ll enjoy watching from my couch or porch.

I have found that since the kids are basically Pros now, my Heart doesn’t hurt like it used to when we lost because I know they gave it their all and they bled purple and gold.

Don’t feel that way about the current state of College Football.
