By the end of the first quarter, LSU’s offense had used the same number of timeouts (two) as it had rushing yards (two).

Regardless of their opinion on our team, having both the writer and the editor miss this simple of a mistake is pitiful. I remember when SI use to actually be good. Not worth paying attention to anymore.

No shite Sherlock!
I still have yet to absorb ONE legit reason for the arse wiping Coach O has been given by the fan base. It's frickin' pathetic and the national media picked up on it.
I can give you something to chew on...if we had Cole Tracy a year ago instead of Les' kickers we'd
have been 11-2 and you would not have uttered the word hot seat and Coach O in the same breath.
Give the man credit for going out and fixing some key positions NOW!

If we don’t win at Auburn it doesn’t make us a bad team or mean Orgeron can’t win at LSU

Agree, and never implied otherwise. Simply stated that this story would carry a hell of a lot more weight if it was written after a win over Auburn.

LSU made them look very average. We won't get a true idea of how good either of these teams are until later in the season. But, IMO it's unfair to just label Miami average because LSU made them look that way.

I'll give you a hint.

I'm not interested in hypotheticals.

I want LSU to win SEC titles and national championships. There is no tangible evidence, thus far, to indicate that they can or will do so under the guidance of Orgeron.

What game has LSU won under O that makes you think they can win a national championship with this man at the helm?

Personally, Ponamsky, Dellinger, and Rabalais should no longer be part of the media. They have no f&cking clue about football. They are wasting paying positions that others could have that have more knowledge and more respectable opinions.

Les won a frick ton of games, and the people who hated him on day one hate him still.

I wouldn't count on many LSU fans changing their minds and admitting they were wrong. Bunch of stubborn frickers in this group.

So was Troy and you cannot help but relive that every day of your pseudo LSU fan life.

If you want to be truthful, Troy wasn't just one game. Blown out by Miss St, struggled vs Syracuse and then got dominated by Troy for 3 quarters.

I think people should move on to this season, but I don't agree that Troy was just one game. It was a trend.

The Miami game is one game this season and it's a great start. Let's see how this thing plays out over the next 6 weeks or so before coming to any real conclusions.

Of course you were all wrong to doubt my beloved Coach O...

I never had a doubt...

Coach O and the entire staff worked hard to get this team ready to win on the big stage and they did not disappoint the Tiger faithful and they silenced the critics.....

Last year I thought it was all worthy of discussion and I wish everyone would move on to this season. But, people keep sucking me back in somehow.

+1

Which another big reason why its a bit absurd to have rankings at this time of the year. Every year we see teams ranked high who are complete trash and lower/NR teams who kick arse. You never truly know how good a win or a loss is until the end of the year where you can see that teams overall performance for the year

Regardless on how good Miami ends up doing, its a good win and a great starting point for the season for us. LSU did well and took care of business on national television and made a statement. Hope we keep it rolling
