Good chance of night game vs. Texas

We are the best matchup as it stands right now for that weekend.
Only other serious ranked SEC matchup would be FLA vs Kentucky but I believe ESPN/ABC would opt for us in night slot because LSU and Texas are bigger brands with more eyeballs.
Plus FLA could lose to GA next week and that game could fall even further off radar.
Need Texas to win their next 2 winnable games to make it a big matchup.

We beat bama and they knock of MSU and go to Mizzou and win and there is a 100% chance it'll be a night game.

LSU needs to beat Bama first, for the Texas vs. LSU to be a hyped game. Just like if Florida doesn't beat Georgia, the Florida vs. Kentucky game isnt as hyped.

We find out if it’ll be a night game in a week - before we even play Bama. Texas/LSU will 100% be a night game.

It would be sad if LSU went 5 straight weeks without a night game. They gave us all night games through 6 games and then have flipped the script since then.

Manning is coming back to Louisiana...there is no way it isn't a night game and it is the main reason we play bama at 2:30 IMO

IMO, this is why the LSU v. Alabama game is at 2:30. It already knows the Texas game will be at 6:30 on ABC.
To this point in the season LSU has been the 6:30 ABC game 3x (Clemson, Ole Miss, A&M). Alabama would have made it 4x and Texas would have made it 5x with the possibility LSU @ Tennessee would be the top game on the Nov. 21 schedule. As of now, the only other matchup between ranked teams that weekend is Kentucky @ Mizzou.
Other SEC programs would have gone apeshit if LSU was on the prime ABC slot 6x, 4x at home. So I think the decision was made that since there is another game with two (currently) higher ranked teams, Georgia @ Ole Miss, they would use this opportunity to pass on LSU being another primetime game knowing they will probably be in that slot at least 1, maybe 2 more times.

Agree completely. 2 of the SEC billion-dollar brands + the Arch Manning drama makes it too valuable not to be in prime time.

ABC can't wait to have cameras fixed on the Manning family. Sark and Kiffin is another storyline for them. They should bring Bevo and let him graze in Mike's cage lol

LSU already has plans to hand out 90,000 LED wristbands for Texas. Leads me to believe that they've gotten assurances. Wristbands would be pointless during the day

With the time change I'm hopeful that even a 2:30 kick will have the feeling of a night game by the 4th quarter.

LSU-Bama at 2:30 and then LSU-Texas at 6:30 makes all the sense in the world, yet you got dudes on here crying to leave the SEC due to kickoff time.
ABC/ESPN are calling the shots and making business decisions in their interest.
