Offense: Mason Taylor
Nussmeier is completely unafraid to attack the middle of the field and the seams, and it is no coincidence Taylor's best game of the season came in the bowl game (7 rec, 88 yards...both season highs) and his season high in receptions (6) in 2022 came in the SECCG. Four of those six coming in the second half when Nussmeier was playing. LSU has Lacy, but really no one else (like Nabers and Thomas) where you feel they are so good you have to force the ball to them. That means others will have to pick up the production. Taylor is that guy.
Defense
Bradyn Swinson
In yet another epic display of just how bad House was last season, Swinson was T-3rd on the team in TFLs (6.5), second in forced fumbles (2) behind Perkins, led the team in QB hurries (9) and had 5 passes defended...the same as Sage Ryan...a DB! Yet, he was more of a reserve player on a team that desperately needed playmakers (only starting 1 game all season)
Baker won't make the same mistake. All of the focus will be on making sure Perkins is blocked on the pass rush. That's going to leave others in 1 v 1 situations. Swinson takes advantage

offense: The OL.
Defense: Major Burns. I just think he will fit this Star role much better than deep safety.

Jacobian Guillory and Mason Taylor
Posted on 8/30/24 at 2:32 pm to mwade91383
Offense
Kaleb Jackson and/or Lacy
Defense
Saivion Jones/Burns/Guillory
I can't decide which. I expect us to dominate them in the trenches on offense and on defense i think Guillory and or Jones will punk them or Major Burns will get a couple of sacks on safety blitzes.

Garrett Dellinger
Bradyn swinson
Dellinger is an absolute mauler on the OL and underrated by our fan base.

Wow, without looking at your predictions, I was thinking the same.
As alternatives I'm saying Kyren Lacy and Whit Weeks.
