Guys, i understand why you think that there are all these biased viewpoints against LSU but its just not so.
Im an official, i know Daniel and his brother. Both good dudes who want nothing more that to officiate a game without issue.
With a catch, there are qualifications that have to be met. Different from a run. I was watching the game and saw issues with the catch/incomplete pass. I dont know what was discussed on the line with Birmingham, but they have all the camera viewpoints. They make the call on a review because its just not possible for human eyes to pickup every minut detail in real time.
Since i have become an official, i enjoy sports way more because i understand the officials viewpoint. When i was just a fan / fanatic, i had all these conspiracy theories also.
It also makes you come across as extremely uneducated. If you would just learn to trust the process, and free yourself from always having to have a conspiracy against your team, I promise you that you would enjoy the experience of a football game so much more.
You have no idea of the countless hours of studying rule books, case books, film reviews, critiques, evaluations, testing that officials go through. We are all human and will make mistakes, but it is not because we have an axe to grind.
Just enjoy the moments guys and girls. Kids playing are going to make mistakes. Coaches coaching are going to make mistakes. Officials working the game are going to make mistakes. Thank goodness for review, so they can be corrected. But unless, you know what the rule book states, and are on the line when discussing with the league office, you just come off sounding like an echo chamber.

Outside of low IQ losers and their enablers, who should rejoice in DEI hires?

I love LSU, but Baton Rouge is a crime ridden shite hole of a city with shitty politics and liberal mayor. Only time I go is to catch a live football or baseball game. I’ll happily root for the Tigahs from Laffy. It’s everything the Red Stick wishes it was.

It's insane how many people on here think that the SEC league office wanted LSU to lose to Clemson. Y'all are so fricking desperate to be the victim.
This is a PATTERN SINCE 2008. This isn’t about one game. Look at the pattern

I'm the one that started the ref hate thread below that pointed out how this same crew has fricked LSU hard in the past.
With that, what, exactly, would he be investigated for? Based on how the SEC handled the replay of an obvious TD that they took away, it appears as though these crews are doing exactly what the SEC wants them to do.
Same goes for the NFL and their officials.
This is all protected by the entertainment clause I bet. Not sure if CFB is, but since gambling is involved, my guess is that it is.
Either way, it isn't just his crew that has pulled some pretty disgusting shite in SEC Games.
My frustration always comes when they allow player safety to be compromised during the game. We saw this crew allow this in 2023 when Daniels was targeted/concussed right in front of two guys in this crew. The OPI/blindside block that was picked up was another case of this from Saturday. We are lucky our guy that was clipped in the back didn't get injured from that cheap hit.
LOL Investigation. The SEC Will just tell you to frick off anyway, like they did for years when an actual Bama alum ran the show. Just be happy we have a team good enough to overcome this bullshite.

Let’s not lump all Lafayette into one bag. Great city with great university. I’ve worked with many ULL grads, sharp people. There are always bad apples even in BR.
Officials appear to make judgement calls against LSU each week and I 100% agree investigation is warranted but no nothing will be gained.
Geaix Tigers!

This is the SEC INTENTIONALLY doing this. They only care about 2 teams now Tejas and Bama.
They did a bad job Saturday then. If everything’s fixed, why even play? These conspiracies are silly.

I'm pretty sure Birmingham had nothing to do with the call, since it was not a SEC game. Only in SEC games - meaning both teams are SEC - are replays sent to Birmingham.
Leave the guy alone. We won the game, let's talk about that.

"Trust the process"?? It's not so much a concern about refs' bias against a set team, it's the incompetence that has been evident for years. Certainly human mistakes can & are made, but at this level of play, some blown calls are just inexcusable. A friend was an ACC ref for years, retired now for 5+ yrs., and he told me a big problem....back then...was that the "supply" of upcoming, competent young refs was becoming a huge problem across all the conferences. Can't imagine that "supply" has gotten better, rather, safe to assume it's gotten worse. Like so much in the world today, the "good guys" are dropping out at a high rate.

Given the nature of the play, an officiating crew could be forgiven for missing the call in real time. But there is no excuse with the camera angles, HD quality and slow motion capabilities. I’m not sure who makes the final call on the review, but this was an objectively and egregiously incorrect call.

Except they didn’t correct the call, they made it worse in a pivotal play.
But in general the rule book is public knowledge and the consensus among college football fans on even the SEC rant, as well as the broadcast, was that it was an incorrect call. No one cares that you are an official, this isn’t that abstruse or difficult to understand.

I have lived in the Lafayette area 46 years and call BS on your reply . I will admit there are a few die hard ULL fans that hate LSU the vast majority in the Lafayette area love LSU.

Nothing… I don’t know anything about Gautreaux, but this fake narrative that Lafayette has a problem with LSU is absurd. All any of you have to do is drive to any place in Acadiana and see for yourself. Lafayette loves LSU. It’s the most Cajun region of La, which also happens to be LSUs national brand.
This just isn’t true.
I attended both LSU and UL of L.
UL students general had a huge little brother syndrome….
The funny thing is when I’d go back to LSU for games, I would run into UL students decked out in purple and gold. The same UL students that would talk shite all week, then skip the UL game to attend the LSU game.

call bs on this claim. LSU is not welcome in Lafayette.
Based on what? Like other guy said - go drive around the area and see for yourself. It’s more LSU fans than Baton Rouge, or New Orleans.
This is a persecution fantasy some people have.
This ULL story is all made up, too. The only school in the State whose graduates hate LSU is maybe Tulane - maybe.
SMH.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t the SEC office make the final call on replays, not the head official?
You need no correction, the grounding call was missed by the refs but the most egregious mistakes were Birmingham.
LSU is 0-5 on replay decisions this year; monitor this moving forward.

Correct, Call came out of Birmingham, not gautreaux.
But by all means, people will continue to spout refs hate lsu.
They do. But the correct complaint is that Birmingham hates LSU.
That said, Birmingham hates any SEC that's not Alabama.
