Whether the crowd will be an issue is unknown. But assuming TS will be in full throat (big assumption) it should be the most hostile crowd they have played in since Auburn last year...when AU hammered them 40-17.

This year the most raucous visiting crowd UGA has encountered is South Carolina. But they jumped out early and the crowd was a non-factor.

IMO, home crowds can't overcome a weak home team. But, if the home team is good, then a home crowd could be a difference maker.

UGA is going to have a LOT of fans at the game. It's up to the LSU fans not to wilt because of "day game" or adversity.

Georgia doesnt run a bunch of audibles or plays called from the quarterback at the line of scrimmage

No matter how batshit crazy the crowd is, it isnt going to truly hamper them that much

Yeah but it used to get wild for every SEC game. And before that for every game. And to be honest it only gets wild for Big SEC games that are within 10-14 points at halftime, has perfect weather/temperature and isn't too late or too early. It's like we need the perfect storm to make it Tiger Stadium again.

so true

Auburn actually had some issues with the crowd noise once LSU started coming back last year.

The crowd will be amped up, but the team has to play aggressively for the combo to affect UGA. Also, the only difficult road game UGA played last year was Auburn and they looked bad and lost, so maybe it can make a difference.

People always whined about Cris Collinsworth and how bad/annoying he was as an announcer. I was never bothered by him and didn't understand how people could hate announcers so much...and then I was exposed to Gary Danielson years ago.

His horse$h!t throws me into fits of rage with the complete randomness that comes out of his mouth and misinformation he seemingly just makes up to say.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - eat a d!ck Gary.

So Gary doesn't think this particular team will be rattled by the crowd. Big deal. He might be right.

Don't like his opinion? Try like hell to prove him wrong on Saturday.

This is the exact attitude that has put the stadiums atmosphere in the position it is in now. Every little piece that's chipped away from it, people say "Who cares?". Then when you look up, it really isn't the same Tiger Stadium anymore. And truthfully that makes me pretty sad.

One of Tiger Stadium's finest moments was DJ Shockley coming into the game after Georgia's starting QB was injured. He was so shaken by the crowd that he lined up over the guard. The crowd was like a shark with blood in the water after that. He was completely and visibly rattled

Same thing happened against West Virginia in 2010. Blood in the water is the exact feeling.

What?

ETA: I'm fully aware what the point of the thread is. I'm speaking generally about people in this thread saying "Gary hates LSU and is gay". If it bothers them, and they're going to the game, show him he's wrong.

I've seen DJ Shockley shite himself solely because of crowd noise. This had nothing to do with Lavalais. It was pre-snap.
