They have no point. They stalled all weekend to not have to face Skenes and then completely avoided game 3.
They lost a series to Vandy just last week. You don’t jump from #6 to #1 in one week when the #1 team also swept.

Edited: OOF yeah they also have Kentucky, Arkansas and Tenn left. I'm not saying they'll lose vs. tenn but they can take a few games from them if they aren't careful.

If anyone has an argument it would be Wake Forest. SC will be ranked 3rd tomorrow as they should.

I mean they definitely have point. Their claim involves their overall body of work, not just this weekend. But it does help that they just swept the #3 team in the country. Bottom line, we are still #1 partly because of our preseason ranking. If Wake Forest or South Carolina were #1 preseason, they would still be there. Nothing wrong with admitting that they have an argument.

Well two weekends ago they couldn’t win a series against LSU when they were at home, and last weekend they lost a series to Vandy.
They are acting like they won the LSU series when they were cowards all weekend.
What has LSU done to lose their #1 ranking? Got injured? It sure hasn’t been losses on the field that would drop us. Haven’t dropped a weekend series all season.

If college baseball did a CFP type thing where the first rankings didn't come out until late in the season. They would have just as good a case as us to be number 1.
I thought, with their pitching, they were kinda fake, but they've proven me wrong.

Well only two games were played. LSU didn't win. that series either. South Carolina has had a tougher schedule than LSU so far and has a better record.

I never said LSU has done anything to "drop". As someone else said, if the first rankings of the season came out this week, they would have and argument, as would LSU and Wake Forest.
