You think LSU is the only team that has to deal with injuries? What impact players do we have that are about to come back? And while it’s great that Coleman is back, we likely lost our two best bullpen arms that have helped us keep that #1 spot.

It’s definitely not that clear cut. RPI is a flawed metric, as is any SOS measure that looks only at W-L record and is based on an overall average. Playing a team that is 30-5 and another that is 5-30 is tougher for a top ranked team than playing two 18-17 teams would be, but a straight SOS ranking would say otherwise. What basis do you have for this being so clearly in SC’s favor?

It’s the same guys who think that LSU never talks trash, the umps are always against us, etc.

If college baseball did a CFP type thing where the first rankings didn't come out until late in the season. They would have just as good a case as us to be number 1

No they wouldn’t. Close, but not quite. We’ve played a brutal SEC schedule and have not lost a series. They have lost one. We would be slotted ahead of them if the first rankings were this week.

They've played a brutal SEC schedule too and have a better conference record than us.

It's either us or them for #1.

Ackenhausen had been our best bullpen arm (he and Edwards) before his hamstring injury. He’s back now.
Coleman is going to help the bullpen down the stretch run.

In the field we have played weekend games without Tommy White, Gavin Dugas, Brady Neal, and Paxton Kling.

We expect all of them back.

It's not up for debate, they've played a tougher schedule than us.

Baloney. If their scrubs were rated higher than our scrubs it doesn’t matter much - they’re still scrubs. What matters is how each team has done against its SEC competition, and LSU has played the tougher SEC competition. USCe has lost a series and we have not.

Sure. LSU hasn't lost a series. Cocks have. Also, LSU is loaded down with injuries and still beating everyone.

Tommy White and Gavin Dugas have missed a total of 3 games each. Brady Neal and Paxton Kling might not even be starting when they come back. Shores and Edwards are much bigger loses than Neal and Kling would be.

South Carolina has injuries to their rotation and has a better record than us in the SEC.

I'm not saying they should be #1, but it's laughable as frick to think they don't have a case.

They do not have as many injuries roster wide as LSU. It's not even close. Everyone going to get injuries on pitching but LSU has lost a lot since the beginning of the season. You could make the argument without these injuries LSU might be sweeping way more than they have been. Today you had an injured Dugas, Morgan, and White leaving the game. That's quite a bit of talent to be injured in your batting order.

Without injuries LSU is the most talented team in the country. Injuries are holding this team back right now especially in the bullpen and yet, they're still winning every series so that's saying something. They're not going to leapfrog LSU until LSU starts slipping up. IF they slip up.

They had their chance to leapfrog LSU instead of being pussies about it the weekend we played. Tough shite. Don't be pussies next time and maybe you'd have an argument.

We aren't saying LSU isn't going to be ranked #1 tomorrow. They will be, we all know it. We are saying people who don't think that South Carolina has a legitimate argument are foolish, because they do.
