Understand a lot of ya'll are probably still pretty salty. You're not used to losing and don't want to hear from opposing fans. I get it. But I did just want to say that you guys should be proud of your team. They played their hearts out. It just wasn't there on the mound.

One hell of an entertaining regional. Thinking about your lineup will probably send a chill down my spine for a few more weeks. Serious talent and they step up in big moments. Crews may be one of the best college baseball players I've seen in a while.

I think Johnson is going to build an absolute monster down there. If you watched Arizona at all, you saw what that staff can do with hitters. Let him get the types of arms in that he couldn't get at Arizona, and woo boy.

Yall's pitching staff is remarkable and next weekend is a win win because if USM goes to Omaha then great...if Ole Miss goes to Omaha then he's getting another contract extension.

The old adage certainly played out, Good pitching tops good hitting. Good luck and kick arse this weekend.

It takes a fan of an opposing team to have a level headed point of view of our team.
Let that sink in rantards!

But we lost to a bunch of scrubs….

Just kidding, USM is stacked and has some great hitters and pitching… Y’all’s hitters are patient and smart, wish LSU did the same and not have so many SO with guys swinging at balls in the dirt.

Go beat Ole Piss in the supers, and make it to the CWS, I’ll be pulling for y’all..

Good luck…

Congratulations Southern Miss. it came down to what everybody knew it would before the season even started: pitching. Jay Johnson inherited an absolute mess and he did the best he could with it. Would love to see USM make a run to Omaha now. Good luck

Thank ya sir. You should be proud of your team too. Solid all around ball club. Good pitching. Good lineup. Good players.

The #11 seed hosting a Regional at home is supposed to win, but it doesn't always happen. Kudos to your team for hanging in there and getting the job done.

I hope you guys beat Ole Miss and get to make the trip to Omaha.

I'll be rooting for USM. Always liked them. They showed tremendous heart too. Entering the bottom of the 9th down 3-2 to Kennesaw State then trailing 4-2 and 4-1 in the following 2 games to LSU. Came back every time.

Those 3 LSU-USM games were definitely 2 teams leaving it all out there to try to keep playing another week.

Thanks for the classy post. That pitching staff your team has would be the envy of almost every other college baseball team in the country. Good luck to USM the rest of the way!

Congratulations on the win. You guys are stacked and should do well going forward.

Bottom line is pitching wins. We can hit top to bottom but if you can’t put up zeros you will lose more often than not. I’d take your starting three right now.

Next year should be a different story. Most, if not all, of our position players will be back. Berry is gone but the rest is back. We just need pitching. If half of the class we signed make it to campus we will be fine.

For being a midmajor program, it seems like they really support their baseball team. Looked like a fun environment to watch a game.

I wonder if a lot of USM fans have some LSU fan ties since it's so close
