I hope those who failed to act are held responsible and punished by the law. Domestic and sexual violence are despicable and those who commit these crimes are the worst of humanity.

Did her parents file a police report?
The girl assaulted by Drake? Or the one accusing Guice?

The tennis player assaulted by Drake, and I feel free and clear in just staying assaulted out right, did go to the police at some point. I'm unsure of exactly when. But it APPEARS there was a second incident after the April 2018 incident in which a police report was filed (mid-August). I think Drake was arrested on August 26th and removed from the team soon after that. According to the text from Davis to Verge in April '18 it insinuated she was filing, or threatening to, a Title IX complaint.

Disclaimer: that text, that has only been seen in a USA Today article, seems way too well written and too perfect to me. I find it suspicious. Good grammar, punctuation, syntax, and even uses proper possessives AND at the same time admits guilt, admits degree ("that was bad"), and mentions both police and a Title IX AND includes a senior athletic official AND indicates a 2 month delay in action AND can't be found on the recipient's (Verge's) phone. It is the perfect text. Too perfect.

Yall dont need to try and say "what for the facts" with Davis. He beat this girl

That's not true.

Davis was arrested for battery. After his arrest, he beat her AGAIN and got arrested again. He plead guilty to two counts of battery.

Pride’s right. There’s no “wait for the facts” with regards to whether Davis beat her. You can make that statement about the intricacies of LSU’s response, but he’s already been found guilty of battery.

Verge, deleted messages where Drake Davis admitted to beating her
Please link this.

What I read was a transcript where Davis basically claimed self defense and said she punched him and was all over him first and he reacted by punching her back to get away from her. If the girl has a history of this, she don't have much credibility to claim dating violence. Can a woman not instigate dating violence if she starts the violence?

I know he did. He should have been given the harshest punishment allowed by law for it, as well.

The Battered Woman Syndrome thing explaining away any of the questionable actions of the girl ( in context of the STORY, not legalities)is pure nonsense.

Back when the Sandusky stuff was all coming to light, I thought to myself "how could a fanbase turn a blind eye to that kind of thing? and could LSU fans ever be that shitty?"

I feel like I'm getting an answer now.

Then HE should have filed a Title IX complaint and gone to the police instead of hitting back.

After that incident they (April 2018) they continued to go out after that... including that night where they got into it again at a bar and she got kicked out.

Nevertheless, he hit back in that one incident. And there were other, supposedly more severe, incidents after that. Sometimes bitches be crazy... run away, don't continue to see them, including hookups. But don't hit back. None of anything she does counts if you hit back, especially if you never filed a complaint yourself.

Too perfect for what?
Too perfect for a victim?
Are we to assume she is not literate?

Its textbook. He would beat her, she would come back to him

Even when he beat her on film, which caused the cops to come and him to actually plead guilty, she was on the news the next day with his mom saying "they were just horsing around"

I mean what would you like me to call that?

Im not saying she isnt crazy with issues of her own, not at all. From all accounts it was a completely toxic relationship

The Battered Woman Syndrome will not play well here. It is the creation of doctors, scientists and other elites, many on the west coast.

Title IX laws say that any employee with knowledge of assault/violence must immediately pass that information to the police.

It shouldn't take Title IX. Common decency should do the trick. Especially after it happened repeatedly.

Too perfect for the article and the accusations leveled by the author.

And before you try it, which you are, I stated in that very same post there is no question at all that Davis is guilty.

But that one text, from Davis' phone supposedly, corroborated by no one, doesn't just implicate Davis. It wraps up every accusation leveled by the author in one text, written in excellent English at just the right time.
quote:

Are we to assume she is not literate?
It's a text by Davis, not her, to Verge. And I challenge you to point to any text written by anyone much less a football player talking about sexual assault that well written. We've all seen their tweets and IG posts about various things. Have never seen one written that well. Much less one that fits that perfectly.
quote:

Are we to assume she is not literate?
Are you saying that I'm saying that about her using a text she did not write? Where you going with this? That's a big-leap extrapolation to try to start a victim shaming accusation against me for stating Davis probably isn't going to write a text that well. You are too obvious.
