They were both very poorly coached teams, but I think this team is more competitive than the 1999 team.

The 1999 team played a lot of close games. Georgia, Mississippi State, Alabama.

Besides Tepper LSU’s problem in 1998 and 1999 was they couldn’t finish and win close games. LSU lost 8 one possession games in 1998 and 1999 combined.

That said, I'm having trouble containing myself wanting to know who the next coach is gonna be. I've never been this excited/anxious for a coaching hire. It's the Woodward effect.

That's similar to how I felt when DiNardo was fired. We all knew we were more talented than what our record showed due to previous years and recruiting classes and we mostly felt like the right coach could win and do well right away as long as we didn't have another Tepper coaching the D. Then we hired Nick Saban (who almost no one was really familiar with at the time). But he immediately improved us, we won right away and then we won it all within 4 years.

I was watching in the 90's but our coach wasn't getting paid $7-$8 mill a year to produce shite on the field.

Me too, sad to say.

Don’t even want a bowl game. Let’s get to the meat of the coaching search and hire.

Yea if we crawl to 6-6 or 7-5 I can see them being like “nah” unless the players really want to. We go bowling and that means O hangs around another 4 weeks.

Self absorbed fans are the best kind, aren't they folks?

They love to run around in their four sizes too small little coaches pants with their #7 or #9 or whatever game jersey when the Tigers are winning. But, when things are not going so well, ready to bail, don't wan to be a part of it.

Just want to see and be seen in the good times.

Been a fan for 30+ years and I have seen losing seasons with bad coaching. This is different, you have basically sandlot football out there and everyone blames the kids mostly. Orgeron just gave me the worst football experience in the past season and a half. I thought 21-0 was bad but at least the kids showed toughness even though the offense played like shite. Offense looks lost and defense shows no resistance. Bad football was Les's last year, this is blasphemy.

The season ended for me at halftime vs Kentucky

I turned it off at halftime of UCLA. Knew then we had yet again been sold a bill of goods. Nothing had been fixed and O was Probably gonna get fired

The team plays like Orgeron coaches....pure stinky arse.

The team will be exponentially better the second he walks out of the building.

Meh, I’ll be in Tuscaloosa in two weeks.

Most of my friends said LSU only had two wind left on the schedule after the McNeese game.

In short, 3 wins overall, and winless in SEC play. I said we would see.

Do I expect us to beat Bama...nope. But you never know.

You know what I think they should do? I think they should consider forfeiting the remainder of the season, and literally boot Orgeron’s dumbass back to Larose. This team shouldn’t play at all if they aren’t going to play with heart. That’s how I view it. If someone isn’t going 100% to the whistle on every motherf*king play then that’s 25 up downs at practice per every play they aren’t going 100%. If he half asses the up downs then bench his f*cking arse. If the whole team can’t go 100% then forfeit the season and gather the team and force them to do 100 up downs and run 10 full field down and backs every day for the amount of weeks that the season would be remaining as a punishment. It would save having to see the what will be a horror show against Alabama, and plus it will save injuries. I’m being dead serious, tie Orgeron to a goddamn f**king catapult and launch him all the way back to the trailer parks in Larose and forfeit the season. Start fresh next year with a new coach who isn’t mentally retarded and isn’t in it solely for the money like the con man Orgeron is. He f**ked this program into the ground.
