Extra tidbits and cliffs on the BK presser. Geeze….

Tyree Adams is out. DJ Chester is starting at LT. Whit Weeks will be reevaluated on Wednesday.
They asked BK about former players calling the team soft and not physical. BK in reference to the OLINE said those are the best 5 we have. There isn't a way to swap them. Said he wants to be physical. Said the team is angry and upset.
Moscona asked him his opinion on Billy Napier getting fired and the trend of letting coaches go sooner than in the past. Said he can't take a global view of everything. He wouldn't be able to get his job done. "Some would say I'm not getting it done now. I get that. I get the criticism that comes with that. We are working hard every single day to get our team better"
Asked about him getting involved in play calling on game day. "My involvement is more in game-plan preparation. Play calling is an art and a science. It's both and if you start getting involved too much, it's not the best thing. Now, I can veto things and I do. I do have suggestions. Those are things I'll continue to have. Believe me. I'm on both sides of the ball and special teams. I'm hearing it, listening to it and I have veto power. From my perspective, that's the best place for me"
Questioned again about DJ Chester starting at LT. Said he's the most experienced and trusted. Had a mishap and gave up a sack when his foot got caught on the ground. By and large, he did what was expected of him. Has confidence he can go do the job. They have two outstanding pass rushers. We will have to help. Will have to do some things to get the ball out quickly. If we do that, we have a guy that's played a lot of football.
Said on three of the blitzes, 2 gave up big plays, each player took an inside angle and that's not what they were supposed to do. They made a correction and blitzed outside shoulder and made a play. It's not just one player. If it were just one, we would put him on the bench. We need to be more consistent across the board. Not just on offense, but defense as well.
Asked about two of the more vocal energetic leaders in Whit Weeks and Gooden being out if that caused issues without their speed, instinct and energy they bring. If they can't go this week, how do you get that back?.... "We felt like maybe we lost a little bit of that energy that had been apparent with our group. You can imagine that's the first thing that I addressed on Sunday. If they don't play, where is it coming from? We had a couple of guys speak to the team right after the game from the defensive side of the ball. Speaking to that in particular. They're aware of it. We know we have to have that kind of energy on defense to play the kind of defense we need to play"

Great. More WR screens.

I don't think he said Whit would be re-evaluated on Wednesday. I think he said he prefers to wait until Wednesday when the injury report comes out to disclose whether Whit will play this weekend. To me, that doesn't sound promising.

‘Some would say I'm not getting it done now’
Does he really think it’s limited to some? I suppose there are people in Greenland who have never watched football before…
Chester gave up a sack when his ‘foot got caught on the ground?’ You know, battling that ground can be damn near impossible. No wonder we suck on the oline

He doesn't take responsibility for anything. He's like a child.

He often takes the responsibility. There is a ton to criticize about Kelly, and maybe he just needs to be fired, but that comment above is just plain wrong.

I'd rather give some hungry youngun a chance to start at LT and get some experience than roll with "Turnstile" Chester. A frosh couldn't be any worse than what we saw at Vandy.

There should have been a followup question asking if he thought getting involved in the play calling could have made it any worse than it already is.

Yeah, at this point, I don’t know why they’re still force feeding it to Chester automatically. He’s proven to be a cone at LT. Can’t have two cones against a great pass rush.

Yep. I told my people a few weeks ago that if BK didn’t take over the play calling from Sloan like he did at the end of last year, this season could get real ugly. Can’t for the life of me see why he’s allowing the same shite to go down in a win now season.

DJ Chester’s “foot got caught on the ground.” Yeah. We know. Because he didn’t pick it up fast enough and he got steamrolled, bulldozed, and trucked.
It’s called being a bad offensive lineman.

So Chester still starting
My guess is Curne will hit the portal
If he can’t start in THIS o line he’s either terrible or has pissed off the coaches

So, he knows that he can't fix the offense and doesn't want the stink to get on himself. He's already angling Sloan under the bus to buy himself another season.
