Only idiots really thought he was going to fall out the draft. He was bad but that’s such a ridiculous take I always thought those people were trolling but apparently not

He was the first qb taken and then got injured. But the people on this board will think different. Haha

Let’s be honest, Nuss’s game fits the pro’s way more than it fits college schemes which usually rely heavily on qb run threats from shotgun/pistol. NFL is more single back, play fakes creating the run threat for the defense to stay disciplined.

Well, based on 2024, he came into 2025 with the potential to be 1.1. He was hurt, he had a trash o line, had a trash OC, HC checked out… kid has every excuse in the book as to why this season sucked.

He’s got the arm talent, and he’s got the brains as his dads a coach.. if he does well at the combine and pro day then he could be a 2nd or 3rd rounder if someone falls in love with him.

Yep! When healthy, he can make every NFL throw with no problem. With some learning time and the right situation, he can play in the league. Sitting for a few years may wind up being his blessing in disguise. Minnesota, LA Rams and Indianapolis would be perfectly ideal for him. Those teams can develop some QBs if the talent is there.

I agreed with everything you wrote but this. Nuss makes inexplicably bad decisions during the games frequently. Absolutely dumb decisions that make no sense. This is a weakness in his game.

Nuss has the arm talent of an elite QB, but he is missing everything else unfortunately.

I am rooting for him though and hope he proves me wrong.

ETA: Not that it would be different for any other young QB, but he gets put behind an iffy line in the league and that teams offense is absolutely fricked

did you even watch him this year? He most definitely does not have the brains to be an NFL QB

Get back to me when he actually makes an NFL roster and takes meaningful snaps.

Now he has to be drafted AND take “meaningful” snaps. At first he wasn't good enough to be an NFL caliber player, per your first post.

You made a rash, and frankly wrong, snap post. Just quit. Your post was wrong and displayed your lack of football IQ. But that is OK, unlike the retards you mentioned in your post, you likely can still learn football. We shall see.

I like Nuss, but there is no way he’s the third QB taken in the draft. He had a terrible 2025 season and now he has injury concerns.

NFL scouts are going to make the call objectively based on his physical condition, his overall health, his combine stats, his medical physical exam, his interviews and intangibles as well. The team who drafts him will have a good idea how to use him in their offense. I suspect the main issue is whether he is fully recovered from his injury and how likely is he to sustain another injury.. If he is healthy I think he can make the passes needed to qualify as NFL QB material. I hope Nuss does well as he has demonstrated his loyalty and love for LSU and in this portal era that is indeed a rarity and is praiseworthy.

He's a project with high upside if it pans out. A franchise will take a chance on him early, especially if the QB class isn't very deep.
