Russian, I and a friend have 6 season tickets, in his name, since the early 90's. He told me that he is opting out this season. I asked him to apply for tickets for me but he has low priority points so I may not score any tickets this season.

Since I’ve followed that twitter account, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone top 111 (he topped this the other day)
I feel like Deichmann was in that area on the 480+ foot homerun he hit way over the intimidator. Had to be the longest home run at the new Box

Exit velocity is great only if you can hit the ball.
A few years ago they were talking up the exit velocity for
squints. Problem is exit velocity is only measured on balls hit well and it is not an average. It would be like someone who could hit a golf ball 350 but couldn't find the fairway versus someone who could hit it 300 and was very accurate.

That’s a bummer, Scuba. I’ll keep my ears open for any extra grandstand tickets for you.

I would appreciate that, Russian.

If I decide to sell whatever season tickets I’m allocated I’ll be sure to give you right of first refusal for them if you’d be interested.

I think he will hit nukes, too. But exit velocity is an overrated stat. You have to hit actual pitches in real games. I think he will, eventually, if not immediately, but I don't read into exit velocity.
Too many batting practice warriors have disappointed me in the past.

So he’ll be entering the transfer portal?

If I read the email to season ticket holders correctly, our seat locations will be dependent on our TAF Philanthropic Priority Point Ranking. I'm in the top 18% of TAF members in that ranking (and that includes all the football and basketball members who may not have baseball season tickets) so I'm hoping that will allow me to get some good seats to some desirable games.
We have cheap seats in 124 and a HR Village parking pass, but we've had them since LF was built in 1996. Doesn't that count for something? Dedicated Poor Fans matter!
I wanna go to at least 15-20 home games.

Crews is going to be a big contributor this year. We're really lucky to have him on campus. He's different.
Drost will find his way on the field. The kid can flat out play baseball.
I also see some Deichmann comments on here. Some think Tre Morgan is a better pure hitter than he was, and has flashes of bigger power. Morgan could be the absolute sleeper.
I can't wait for some baseball.

I opted in but if I end up not getting a fair share of weekend games, especially SEC games, or if I get stuck in the outfield bleachers instead of getting my or near my grandstand seats then I'm just going to sell my season tickets and buy a few tickets here and there on StubHub.
After getting the email I thought about opting out, but I opted in and figured I'd wait and see what they offer me, i.e. where will the seats be and what the cost will be. I have 4 Club tickets and I don't know how they are going to handle this. If I don't like what they offer me I will opt out at that point. I confirmed that we can opt out and not purchase what they offer us. I love LSU baseball, but this is F'ing BS

You too good to sit with me in 124 on the front row? It'll be fun.

Thanks for everyone mansplaining exit velo. This is a would be first round draft pick, so yea, I’m not as worried about him hitting.
You realize that having an exit velo of 111 mph on live pitching is elite, even for MLB, much less a 19 year old.

I typed out a response to that one and then deleted it.
“If only someone would invent a metric that tells us how frequently someone makes contact, then exit velocity may mean something. Until then you and your fancy numbers can both get off my lawn.”
