Wounded animals are also way easier to catch and kill

Why would any player or staff sleep on a UF team that beat our arse last yr?

I didn't realize that fans sleeping on a team determined how LSU plays.

Would be pretty stunned to see LSU overlook a Florida team that 1. beat us down a year ago and 2. has a QB as talented as DJ Lagway. Watching film on him has got to have their attention. He's got the ability to beat you even when you play well. He was off last week - likely due to his lack of practicing this offseason, but eventually it's gonna click for him this year and he'll round back into form. Hard to imagine that being on the road in Death Valley, though.

Lagway made some nice plays through the air last season. And he'll likely make a few on Saturday. He looks like a solid player. But you also have to take into account that was against a horrible LSU secondary. A secondary that will have 4 different starters compared to last season. Hell, in two games it is clear Delane is better than any CB LSU has had in the last 3 seasons. We also won't have to watch Ryan doing his best to avoid contact and Burns flying around aimlessly at the safety spot. Couple that with a DL that totally dominated what is likely a better QB (at least at this point in their careers) and OL, and you have a much different ball game this year.

And I absolutely do take that into account, but I'm only saying that he has the talent to perform at a high level even against an elite defense like we now have. If he has his A game and we have an A- game, Florida will score some points. That's why I'd be surprised to see LSU not come out on fire.

My bad coach, I was already getting my game plan in for next week against SE. I'll make sure to have my good shirt ready to go for Saturday night

You do know that they aren't actually alligators, right?

I just want to see the offense break their tendencies. I could care less about who is in the game just break the tendencies and predictable play calling. If we do that then the rest is up to the players to execute. I cannot stand when the Coaches are limiting the successes of the team. If the team just cannot make the plays but the plays are there then I can live with that.

But that’s exactly why we need to be locked in.

Wounded animals are dangerous. They’ve got nothing to lose and everything to prove. That kind of team can come out swinging — desperate, hungry, and ready to make a statement. And if LSU isn’t ready from the opening whistle, it could get messy fast.

This game isn’t just about rankings or records — it’s about pride. And if we want to keep our season on track, we’ve got to treat Florida like they’re 10-0, not 1-1.

Handle business. Play smart. Hit hard. Geaux Tigers

100%

And I have great confidence that this staff will get our team up for this game as well, especially after how shitty our O played Saturday

We have all the advantages: home field, night game, best QB, best RB, best WR corps, best D, vet experience on OLine, and BK will ensure we're locked in after how bad we looked against Tech. It's that simple: if we execute on top of all these advantages, we should win without much difficulty.

Yeah, this is a must win for Florida. Their schedule is brutal. In addition to having to play Miami and Florida State their SEC schedule includes three teams LSU does not play; Texas, Georgia, Tennessee.

did LSU overlook them or did we just get beat by a better team that day? LSU was maybe 12-15th best team, FSU was quite possibly the best team in the country before Travis got injured - at worst top 3.

That was a top 10 matchup, revenge game and the season opener.
