Probably not, but he doesn’t need to be.

No. But I expect him to be much improved next year. He didn't look 100% this year.

No he isn’t as fast as Bowers and goes down way to easy

I can't see it happening with Mason.

But we do have a couple guys in the TE room who I think COULD have that high a ceiling (Pimpton & Green).

Not even close. He goes down if someone lays a hand on his shoelace. He probably has negative yards after the catch.

agree, not the speed, agility, or hands, but Mason will have a great year next year. He's a really good TE.

Mason is a nice receiver but he runs one pattern and hasn't broken a tackle this year.
Bowers runs all, and is very fast and there have been very few tackles he hasn't broken.
Like you, I am hoping Taylor makes some significant improvement next year as he is going to be our TE receiving option.

Bowers is one of the best TEs in college football history. That's like people wanting to compare Nuss to Burrow.

Not everyone can be the GOAT.

He can still be really damn good, though.

Bowers runs all

Has it occurred to you that LSU had world class wide receivers and they didn’t need Mason Taylor running routes all over the field? If Brock Bowers had Jayden Daniels, Brian Thomas and Malik Nabers on his team he would not have had half the production he did.

He can get pretty close, maybe 90% if he continues to develop this year...

Not even close. Bowers was playing at an All American level as a freshman.

He's a bust. He shows flashes of being great, but he has a shitload of issues he needs to clean up.

He seemed like he was running in slow motion most of this year. He took a step backwards this year instead of forward.
