He's a bust. He shows flashes of being great, but he has a shitload of issues he needs to clean up.

he was like a 3* and he’s been our starter for 2 years. Thats literally not a bust.

Has it occurred to you that LSU had world class wide receivers and they didn’t need Mason Taylor running routes all over the field? If Brock Bowers had Jayden Daniels, Brian Thomas and Malik Nabers on his team he would not have had half the production he did.

Mason hasn’t passed the eye test for me to think that his production would increase if he played on that georgia team

Brock Bowers was a 2-time all American by this point in his career

Mason Smith was a five star and has been starting for two years. Is he not a bust?

Yeah, people are focusing on Mason (good or bad) when answering this question. But it's really about Bowers being a fricking unicorn freak show. He may be the best TE in the NFL next year.

Mason TAYLOR is our TE and the topic of discussion.

Edit: Misunderstood your point. 1. Maason Smith blew out his knee game one of his sophmore season. so “starting 2 seasons” is a stretch. 2. “bust” is 100% about expectations. if you think most 3* are expected to produce even as much as Taylor has in his first 2 years you’re way off.

Anyone?

Seems to be a nice young man and he catches the ball well BUT it would take him a week to 'run out of sight'!

Brock Bowers is one of the best TEs in college history.

Mason Taylor has a ton of potential tho.

Solid player but he doesn’t have the athletic ability or route running ability to even be mentioned in the same sentence as Bowers.

I believe he will be passed up next season by Pimpton and the freshman from Zachary

Taylor is a good player; Bowers is an early first rounder for someone.

Negative Ghost Rider! Seems like a nice kid but he is soft as drugstore cotton. Can’t get that extra yard.

Taylor’s ADOT - 4.6yds

Other SEC TE’s

Bowers- 6.5

Oscar Delp- 7.7

Caden Prieskorn- 9.0

Amari Niblack - 16.9

As good as the offense was, Taylor is a mere decoy to get the defense looking sideways.

He seemed like he was running in slow motion most of this year. He took a step backwards this year instead of forward.

Maybe because he was dealing with injury issues for over half of the season.
