If Alabama doesn’t get fined for their fans chanting “frick Auburn,” maybe LSU should counter sue the SEC for not holding all institutions to the same standards.

I heard Hester say this morning that there is no fine, they just made that up as an excuse to avoid playing it.

I never knew about a fine. This week is the first I ever heard about it. I assumed the school just didn't like having students chant that

Flynn and Hester said there is no fine. Our stupid woke administration doesn’t want it played so they tell people they’ll be fined.

OR.....a few idiots on tigerdroppings said it and the other idiots started passing it off as fact. This happens regularly on here.

Dont you love being lied to instead of just saying the real reason. Some people and power just don't mix well.

South Carolina plays it after almost every home hame. Never fined.

This was after our opener last year in Alt vs Vt.

if there is a fine from the SEC, that's ironic.
the SEC is suing LSU for infringing on their first amendment rights.

LSU didn’t have a fine for tiger rag either, but stopped playing it because of the students’ chants.

There is no fine, never has been, and the band will not be playing the song. Can we move on now?

It’s not the song being fined. It’s the chant

The SEC can fine institutions for things like vulgar chants, but to my knowledge, it has not actually done so for Neck. I think they are most concerned about it happening on national TV. It'll be interesting to see if the band plays it only during TV timeouts

Here is what AI tells me about the SEC policies. I could not find a fine value except for rushing the field.

quote:

SEC Core Conduct Expectations

Respectful Behavior: Profane, demeaning, threatening, or abusive language and discriminatory conduct are strictly prohibited.

No Thrown Objects: Throwing any items onto the playing surface or field results in immediate ejection and potential bans.

Playing Surface Restrictions: Fans must stay off the field and court before, during, and after games.

Staff Directives: Spectators must comply with instructions from event management, security, and law enforcement personnel.

Exactly, this fine rumor has been around for years and I am not sure where it came from. You can't fine a team or school for something this.
