Jeff Landry looks for any way possible to get into the national news. This is just his latest opportunity to do that, but I am not sure if he realizes how it makes him look.

I assume he has ambition to run for president, but he will never get the backing he needs. I think, in his mind, he wants to be a Trump 2.0 or something, but with Trump its who he is. Love him or hate him, he is authentic, but with Landry its not. And in the mean time, he doesn't care what he has to involve himself in as long as it gives him a national stage.

So what. What if it does work. What if Frank runs the table WITH MVB at qb.
You don't know what's going to happen. All we know is we are not losing the next 4 with Kelly

I don’t imagine anyone in his circle has the balls to tell him to back down when he’s being a jackass. But it really is a dumb risk to get so involved. LSU was going to be rebuilding next year anyway, and will more than likely not be a contender before his re-election. It will be used against him barring Saban walking through the door.

Then again, I’m a life long republican and I don’t know anyone who liked him way before all this shite, and he won straight up without a runoff, so who knows ??

Him being in the pocket of the billboard attorneys and turning his back on tort reform and meaningful steps to get our insurance rates back from the stratosphere won't help his reelection either.

The perception (true or not) that he damaged LSU in any way is political suicide. I believe he has done harm to our school and has been extremely reckless.

This is overly dramatic Sally. The boosters influenced this far more than Landry. Kelly was a failure and Woodward completely screwed up his last 2 football hires. He's left two football programs worse off in his wake.

Landry made a HUGE mistake. Not by firing Woodward but by getting on camera and making a circus out of everything. Should have just kept his mouth shut. I think his political career is going to take a hit as well.

No, Landry doesn't realize what he doesn't know and he seems to be not very cerebral. Everyone is laughing at us because of Landry!!

It doesn’t matter. If this next coach doesn’t work out I mean it when I say Landry will be the most hated politician in Louisiana history and it won’t be close

Right wrong or indifferent that is a 100% fact

How Gov. Landry doesn't see that is beyond me. If this goes great, both the state and he will do well. However, it's more likely things won't go so well. It doesn't matter how much he tries to distance himself from it, he now owns the new LSU coach issue.

Yes, that's why I don't think he's going to meddle in the actual hire.

The funny thing is that if he actually meddled with the hire behind closed doors, it would probably be better for him politically than making a spectacle of it then backing off.

You can tell from his interview with MM he’s already back peddling and regretting his dumb arse decisions.

Hey look, it's another idiot parroting false information. How does Landry's dick taste you fricking cuck?

I won’t vote for Jeff Landry again. Republicans better f(nd a new candidate! He is just too deep into this football situation. I understand being part of the CBK firing decision but the interviews, Q&A, statement about SW not hiring next coach, misquote of easily checked facts and now hands in Woodward firing is too much.
Get out of the Football operations J. Landry!
