re: You ever have one of those weeks where you just feel completely overwhelmed? - Challenger2006
Sometimes the bad helps you appreciate the good, my man. Congrats on the baby girl. The level of stress that must have caused makes my own work stress seem pretty damn unimportant, all about perspective. You got past the only truly important thing in your post, you’ll be fine. Best wishes,...

re: S Acadian & Claycut new blacktop - Challenger2006
I’ve tried to remain optimistic but they’ve royally fcked up Government street. Traffic/congestion was never a problem, now you have to sit at the Govt/Acadian light for 3 cycles to make it through. The initial plan to reduce lanes never made sense to me, now it’s pretty clearly a mistake....

re: JBE threw his endorsement to Mayor Broome for reelection - Challenger2006
I’m a pub who was generally fine with JBE. I didn’t vote in the last election, but Rispone’s campaign was absolutely pathetic. JBE lost me here though. That being said... if Broome would have addressed the flooding issues, I would have sucked her dick and voted for her twice. Matt Watson i...

re: EBRP Property Reassessment (UPDATE in OP) - Challenger2006
Just got mine in the mail. Property increase $50k, 18% increase overnight. This is criminal. My property might actually be worth that if this POS city would address flooding. How do we appeal?...

re: Izzo's I Am DISAPPOINT - Challenger2006
I’m a big Izzos fan. I’ve noticed something different the last two times... usually they “measure” your choice of meat, now they load it up. I’m not complaining but got damn, they couldn’t even get my burrito closed the other day and I just order meat, cheese, rice....

re: What are your thoughts on Zippy's - Challenger2006
Everything they have is below average but I know that going in. It’s good for kids who want a chicken quesadilla. I just wish they’d come up with a better order/receiving process. It seems like they fck the order up 30% of the time....

re: DH Gate sells the 1958 NC Ring - Challenger2006
Here’s the whole group, they pretty much look as advertised according to the website pictures. The details on the sides aren’t particularly sharp but that’s to be expected. The ‘58 is pretty cool. Seller was aabc147 The ‘03 and ‘07 are probably the shoddiest. The 19’s are all pretty cool to...

re: Bourbon guys: can you differentiate notes/flavors? - Challenger2006
To clarify, if I’m blind testing several next to each other, I can taste that they are different and I’ll like one more than the others. But if you ask me which one is Buffalo Trace v Eagle Rare, I wouldn’t know even though I drink both regularly. I pretty much like em all. The rarest thing I ha...

Bourbon guys: can you differentiate notes/flavors? - Challenger2006
Let’s say you have the following lined up: Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, Elijah Craig, Weller Can you actually identify flavors/scents or even tell the difference? If I read the flavor profile, I can identify some things. But if I’m blind, I just get bourbon. Not talking about higher proof ...

re: City Pork group acquires Beausoleil - Challenger2006
IMO, there’s not a true BBQ place in town that can stack up anywhere near the KC/Memphis places. But I always thought the braised short rib at City Pork was killer, it’s basically the only thing I’ve ordered from there on many trips....

re: DH Gate sells the 1958 NC Ring - Challenger2006
For those wondering about the dhgate quality. I just received the ‘58 ring and I’m pleasantly surprised. Well worth $7. I’m still waiting on the 03 and 07 ring, but my expectations aren’t very high based on the pictures. I just ordered the 3 ‘19 rings, the pictures actually look pretty good......

re: Finished watching greyhound - Challenger2006
I thought it was fine. Worth watching but not something I’d watch again. I couldn’t help but think about how the entire movie is basically cgi. Then I kept thinking about how difficult it must be to be an actor in that situation. ...
