Of course not, an if you want to play that game then extrapolate a full season's worth of stats from Nuss's one half against UGA. That would be some eyepopping numbers.

No I do not. There is always room for improvement … see Burrow Senior year. Also see Burrow throwing motion since he has been in NFL.. looks nothing like it did. Practice matters, experience matters, JD5 can have a big leap ala Florida game, Ole miss game etc where he lit it up throwing

Really hope that Daniels coming back doesn’t cause Howard to bounce. It would be horrible roster management if that happened

What? Are you suggesting we kick him off the team or something?

How would that be horrible roster management? He was our best option this year and played well. What are you suggesting we do?

I sure hope so. Jayden is 22, so odds say he should be able to get some better. In my opinion It says more to the coaches ability to develop quarterbacks if he doesn’t.

I'm not saying he can't improve, I'm saying his history as a passer has shown that he hasn't improved. Which is the truth. He has stayed the same since his freshman year.

But your flaw is using statistics as the basis for drawing your flawed conclusion that he hasn’t improved.

Statistics reflect some aspects of performance, but can’t show how well a player learns a playbook, how well they read a defense, how quickly they process information and alter their own decision making.

You’re spoiled by EA Sports styled QB analysis.

I'd say that's relatively close.

Why not discuss all the missed opportunities from his inability to make long passes, passes over the middle and the like.

Personally, I don't think he's hit his ceiling, and that we will see great growth in year 2.

All those sacks he took are drive killers that get you beat by elite teams.

Some of those sacks were on the Oline and the time he had, some (probably more than half) were related to him holding the ball too long. That was also the reason for many underthrown balls. If he can correct that (not saying he can) he will markedly improve in both downfield passing and lowering his sack numbers.

I hold on to hope. My reasoning is that I think JD did not have anyone directing him appropriately at ASU. He seems to be coachable. He improved in some areas since he got here. He was regressing each year at ASU and I think he definitely improved from 2021 this year. I do think if you look at his yardage and TD/INT numbers 2022 is better on its face alone. Taking into account the level of competition he faced at LSU vs ASU I think there is little doubt.

Just my opinion, which really means nothing.

Did he do a good job of this this year?

Statistically, he certainly has not improved.

After years of experience the data suggests he’s who he’s been.

Can he improve? Sure. Will he? Looks like we’ll see in ‘23.

we have 3 posters( u know who they are) here who cannot rebutt any performance facts that make jd5 look bad and they are beyond emotionally attached like a teen girl. it is very perplexing and embarrassing for them.
i will bet those 3 were miles pumpers also and just threw up records and shite instead of breaking down performances.
