Oklahoma and Colorado State have mutually agreed to cancel their future football matchup that was scheduled for the 2028 season.

According to FBSchedules.com, the Sooners were scheduled to host Colorado State on Sept. 30, 2028, in Norman. The original agreement, signed in 2023, included a $1.8 million guarantee for the Rams.

The two schools have since mutually agreed to terminate the contract, including the compensation and damages requirements.

The move comes as Oklahoma adjusts its future schedules following the SEC's move to a nine-game conference schedule.

Oklahoma currently has non-conference games against Temple, Missouri State, and Houston scheduled for the 2028 season.
