LSU-Clemson Expected To Draw Record Media, Celebrity Presence To Tiger Stadium

The anticipation surrounding Lane Kiffin's LSU debut continues to build ahead of Saturday night's season opener against Clemson.

ESPN's Marty Smith reported Wednesday that LSU officials have confirmed the matchup will be the most media- and celebrity-credentialed game in Tiger Stadium history.

ESPN's College GameDay will also be in Baton Rouge for the matchup, marking the program's 500th road show, its 15th trip to the LSU campus, and its first visit since 2024.

There was already plenty of national attention surrounding Kiffin's first game as LSU's head coach, and that spotlight has only grown in recent weeks.

The historic turnout comes as LSU begins its 102nd season in Tiger Stadium, adding another layer to what is already expected to be a massive scene in Death Valley for Kiffin's debut.

No. 11 LSU and Clemson will kick off Saturday at 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
