I mostly don't care about them, but sometimes I pull against them. And it really has little to do with the teams. It's a personal situation with people I know who are affiliated with that school.

And it's also because some jerk ULL fan called me an "idiot" on air after I called a radio station in Lafayette when I was only about 16 to talk about LSU, and I made a brief comment about the Cajuns and accidentally called them USL. I was nervous being on air at that age, and I didn't even realize I had said USL. This wasn't more than maybe a year or two after the name change. This guy calls right after me to lay into me over the fact that I didn't say it right.

That pettiness from their fans has always stuck with me. I will not pull for them.

They tried to play politics to be UL and forgot that Northeatern could do the same so became ULL and ULM.

BTW, USL opted to go major college after going 0-11 the season before. Before that they played McNeese, Northwestern, LaTech, Northeastern and Southeastern along with Arkansas State as was the makeup of the Southland Conference in 1973. LaTech opted to go major college too that year but they had a winning program.

All of my relatives went to USL, some when it was first founded and at least one hall bears a family name.

I couldn't tell you if ULL was having an up or down year on any given year in the last 20.

I don't dislike them, but I've never seen them play.

They almost beat Florida once. Maybe around 2012.
They played a new Orleans bowl game maybe in 2 or 3 of the last 6 years.
Hudspeth is their coach or their athletic director maybe. Or was.
They wear red and white.

You officially know everything I think I know about ULL.

Wait. We played them twice when I was in school. I think they put up 17 points from beginning of history to 2010. Don't quote me. But the games weren't close. And that was in the Miles era.

Do you mean Louisiana-Lafayette? If so, I like Louisiana-Monroe much more. It doesn't have the LSU penis envy that UL-Laf does.

ULL earned the ill will from LSU fans most recently during 2018 NIT tournament. Their coach had to be restrained from going after Will Wade when all WW was doing was calling time out to let them enjoy being in the PMAC a little longer. And the week leading up to the game was a ridiculous display of little brother syndrome. No love lost for the Cajuns here.

When they were USL, I had nothing against them. Now that they are ULaLa, I cannot stand them.

I don’t hate them. I think they’re a good school with exceptional programs. I wish they would stop with the “frick you” attitude to LSU. They have their own traditions and pride. Why spend so much time tearing down LSU?

I like seeing the Louisiana team out of Lafayette win... and the Louisiana team out of Monroe win. Not sure when Louisiana plays Louisiana or if they do, but I'm putting money on Louisiana to win.

I went to USL as well. Back then there was no hate/penis envy. We were all LSU fans and went to Baton Rouge occasionally to party with old high school friends. I don’t know what happened to cause the current situation.

No, I don't like them. Except for the ones who went there because they couldn't get into anywhere else. They are ok with me.
