I don't think that part really matters. Usually the policy language will just read as "received notice" or something to that effect.

Im pretty sure it definitely matters.

What happened to hearsay being worthless? I've heard this my entire life growing up.

These are allegations in a petition, not evidence being offered into the record in court; so hearsay doesn't apply.

Attorneys are typically bound by procedural and ethical rules on what is put into a petition; however, nowadays most attorneys throw everything and the kitchen sink into a petition regardless if they think it has merit or not.

All that matters at the end of the day is if they can prove the allegation in court through testimony and evidence. But this is primarily being done to run the scoreboard up to have one more thing to use to try and reach a higher settlement.

Also, not all hearsay is worthless. There are exceptions to every rule, including hearsay.

How we got to where a school is responsible to investigate rape charges is beyond me.

Guice was a piece of shite. But the girl fricked him and didn’t tell anyone till her boyfriend shows up at LSU because she knew it would get out. Then they wait til he transfers to La Tech before trying to make the story public. If it happens like they want you to believe they don’t stay quiet.

I'm talking about in reference to an LSU employee's duty to report these types of things to the Title IX office. They don't care who you heard it from. If the employee was notified of the act, they then have a duty to report it.

Ed's limitations as a coach are much more of a threat to his survival than this suit.

This is IMO mostly BS. Attention seekers in the victim, me me me age. I will cost him but he will survive.

Yes. We have more important things to worry about. Like who will start at QB and how we are dealing with O-Line depth

These days the are entire departments to handle these situations and the NCAA as well. The head coach can only point the kids in the proper direction to make complaints. These college kids also know who to talk with through the school that they attend. All incoming freshmen must attend orientation that is informative to all persons and all topics while attending school. Any rumors are invested. Coach O has had scandals during and under his tenure in which we all heard about. Where is the proof of anything. He said she said! Even in this backwards time he is innocent until proven guilty. He keeps winning and it’s all good!

Actually, filing a police report would help solidify a civil suit.

He has millions man is going to be okay

How many millions do you think he has? He’s maybe earned 12 million dollars since he became head coach. Before that he probably spent what he earned. Half the 12 million went in taxes. I bet he has been spending $600,000 to $700,000 per year on bimbos etc.

I bet he has $4 million, which isn’t shite. If he’s fired for cause he gets nothing else, AND he will be the defendant in civil suits if he’s found guilty in these proceedings. Those could cost him a couple of million bucks.

No, things could come apart very badly for Orgeron. I doubt it will come to that, but he’s certainly not in an FU position.

But will this petition not be the driving force behind an attempted prosecution?
