Much respect to him and the kid was battling but I think he got exposed on the last throw down. He was in obvious pain.

People got pissed when Florida was stealing up 12. Yes it goes against the stupid “unwritten rules”. It seems pretty obvious at this point that they were seeing what Travinski could do in preparation for today.

My fear in a tight game is that Florida will take more risk on the base paths. Yes he threw a guy out earlier but the throw was on the Left Side of the bag and we just put a good tag on it. The last throw sailed and he was in a ton of pain.

The big man is a huge reason LSU is here but I think you have to go Milazo today.

How many hits and RBIs did he have yesterday?

No, I don’t think he can defensively play catcher at the moment.

No we were on a roll with Millazo and Trav did not do anything offensively yesterday.

We need the defense

Gut wants me to go with Milazzo. Trav can pinch hit if need be in situational spot but I lean Milazzo.

Milazzo frames the pitches better than Trav. Use Trav in a pinch hit situation if needed late.

After seeing him bend over after the over throw to 2nd its clear hes hurt and trying to tough it out. I think you have to start Milazzo and then pinch hit for Milazzo after the 6th inning and let Travinski catch the last 3 innings and hit. I don't think he can go a full game.

Nope. His injury is hindering him.

Give it Millazo and roll with it

Milazzo has to start behind the plate. That was obvious with Travinski’s throw and how he bent over multiple times in pain. If we get in a bind late, I’d say maybe he gets a pinch hit. However, the rib injury without a doubt is affecting the power he can put to the ball too.

It was interesting that they brought Jones in to catch. I don't think he's caught all year. Could we possibly see him behind the plate? I'm assuming Milazzo will get the start and Trav and/or Jones will be available for a PH.

No. His upside was offense and the injury seems to be hindering him.

No. Millazo has had good AB's and has been great behind the dish. Travinski is hurt.

You absolutely 100% start milazzo today and ph travinski if the situation merits it.

Milazzo hasn't been terrible at the plate. He can bunt and he never looks completely stupid. Always eats up a few pitches.

What worries me with the lineup today is you have a LHP starting and likely one coming right after (Fisher) and lsu left handed hitters are 4-21 vs LHP in the CWS.

So say you start Milazzo on top of the 4 LH in the order + Thompson who is already an auto-out, then you could be in trouble.

Travinski goes if he could manage the pain

Not dogging the kid at all, and all the props in the world for putting in as much fight as he has to this point, but damn it was hurting me to watch that kid continue to stay in the game and double over in pain so many times. The only thing I was really worried about after the wheels came off was why they kept running him out there to keep hurting himself. No way I would let him go back out on full catcher duty. If you get into some crazy multi pinch runner situation and have to bring him in after, I get it but to just run him out as the starter again is cruel.
