ULL always sounds like they are entitled to have LSU schedule them. Martin created this situation because he felt slighted if he would have kept his mouth shut none of this happens.

It’s worth noting that scheduling a home and home with VCU was part of his buyout from VCU, but yes. He’s definitely going to get us some juicer matchups.

Tulane has certainly declined, but LSU fans remember there was a time not too long ago when these two baseball powers went toe to toe to get to Omaha.

Didn't we do the same in 2015?

Where is the "class" he referred to? He came off as a spoiled brat AFTER the loss. His team got beat and he couldn't stand it and continued to blame the NIT for not making ULL the host team. The facts are clear about that reasoning - LSU had the better schedule and, apparently, the better team to be able to overcome an ongoing rebounding deficiency.

I thought Wade spelled out the process by which LSU schedules it's opponents pretty well. It sounded objective and measurable. You can goad us all you want but UL simply doesn't make the grade. Case closed.

Want to change that? Be better for three years.

I'm not familiar with how this three-year rolling RPI rule works. Anyone know the particulars of that scheduling rule?

Wade explained it on Hanagriff today. He said he scheduled OOC games this year with teams who were not very good this year but had been good RPI wise the past couple of years.

Meh. I have never been too secretive about it. Between that, and a few other facts I have talked about myself I wouldn't be hard to figure out

I'd say it was more like "hey I'm gonna push you in the mud puddle!" and instead we just tripped them into it themselves.

The other moronic part is that it’s Wade’s first year. Like WW would walk into the LSU gig and have ULL on a list of his top 1000 priorities. If you are in a weaker position you build relationships and good will with the new guy, you don’t bum rush him with insults and hysterical ranting. Wtf , that’s just basic emotional intelligence you would expect a High School kid to instinctively understand.

Exactly my thoughts. If you are trying to build your program then why try and do it by tearing another down. LSU has a long history. ULL doesn't even know what name they are yet. They could have played the underdog and won and it be a jumping point. Instead they tried to act as if ULL is bigger and better than LSU.

LSU very well couldve lost that game.

Really?? There was 12 seconds left in the game, LSU up by 9 points, each team shoots same number of technical free throws and LSU gets the ball on the possession arrow. Is it possible for LSU to lose the game? Yes. Is it likely? No.

And there it is
You act like that's a gotcha. It's not, it is what it is.

LSU is the major university in the state. A whole different level than ULL. LSU is SEC, ULL is Sunbelt. Tulane is at least Conference USA or whatever that morphed into. AAC, which is perhaps the closest to the P5 conferences.

Look at it this way: up in Ohio, you have (the) Ohio State University. They are Big 10, a P5 program. What's the comparison to ULL? NOT Cinncinati, they are AAC. That would be Tulane.
I'd say MAC, but that might be pushing the limits, as I really don't think the Sun Belt is on a par with the MAC. But let's go with that, just for convenience... you honestly think Ohio State cares if Miami of Ohio, Akron or Toledo tries to call them out?
Do YOU think Toledo is in any position to challenge the Buckeyes? Do they DESERVE to play?

Like the other poster stated- learn your place. It's not an insult, it's simple truth. ULL is a low mid-major, LSU is in the SEC, arguably the best Power 5 conference in the country. It's great to try to step up above your weight class and try to compete, but drop the pretensions and delusions of grandeur.
