Did anyone save their money and skip the SECCG in favor of the playoffs?

if so you better find your arse some tickets and represent in ATL.

tbh, the 25/75 split in MB stadium was more than fine, i'm curious as to what the split will be for this game.

I think it's apparent some LSU/Saints fans sold their Saints /49ers tickets at a premium in order to offset their SEC Champ game trip and knowing they might have to spend more for playoffs.

I think it'll be about 55/45 LSU fans in Atlanta for the semis. Not a huge advantage for us, but it'll do.

I'm flying to Atlanta from the midwest with my daughter to attend the semi-final. I hope there is a large LSU contingent. If we win, I'll be in New Orleans as well. These opportunities to win the NC are so rare.

I went to Atlanta and drove and tbh, I don't think I can do it again. I'm apparently too old to make that drive twice in that short amount of time and drink that amount of alcohol in between.

Negative ghostrider. I'm on the train for the WHOLE ride. I'd kick myself forever if I missed any of these games. No kids and no wife. Next time this comes around that may be different and I may not have the option. Gotta enjoy it and soak it in while I can.

That 8hr drive is right on the edge of doable to miserable for a short weekend trip.

My wife and I will make all three if we go to the title.

The reality is, Atlanta-Atlanta-New Orleans is the absolute best case scenario.

Imagine going Atlanta-Phoenix-Miami

Are hotels in ATL going to free up? I'm not worried about tickets, but so much shite on the hotel front seems sold out. Funny thing was, I was looking at the Phoenix area before the official announcement and they had rooms all over.

Thought the same thing to myself when I had to wake up at 4 am to drive back.

Glad I did it once, but may skip the SECCG in the future.

We will likely never see another QB like Burrow in our lifetimes, or have a team that's so much fun to watch. Please attend if you can. If you can't attend, then please make sure your tickets end up in the hands of other Tiger fans. We received the best possible playoff location in terms of cost and ease of travel. It would be a shame if we don't take advantage of it.

Yeah, I left at 8AM Sunday after partying Saturday too late and my old liver is still hurting/recovering!!!

I was disappointed in the options for food/drinking in the downtown area around the stadium in Atlanta! Most sports bars and restaurants were "at capacity" and lines were SLOW! Wasted too much time in line and finally paid $40/person for some crappy event that was pretty lame just to get a few beers and food, and sit to watch some games before the SEC CG. I wanted to check out the fanfare, but wasted too much time trying to get a beer and some food before the game. Also it took over 30 minutes to get into the game, and finally they opened all the gates to get folks in!!! Atlanta was not my favorite sports destination, and thought is was funny that the guy running the event said the SEC CG was slow compared to the Super Bowl! I wanted to ask him what the hell did people do before the Super Bowl?!?!?!

I'm not trying to discourage anybody from going to support the Tigers, but you gotta be patient and maybe consider finding tailgating options instead of expecting a good bar/food scene in downtown ATL. Buckhead was very nice and late night at the Big Sky bar was legit if you're young! We were probably the oldest people there though so felt kinda out of place, but the young LSU and UGA fans were cool!

I booked a room in downtown Atlanta a few hours after the seeding announcement had been made. It wasn't cheap, but it wasn't crazy expensive either. Atlanta has the MARTA that allows you to stay in downtown, Midtown, Buckhead, or other locations and still get to the stadium area easily. You can't do that in Phoenix.
