Burrow was looking for his best chance to win on a big stage. Up front money was never a factor.

Plenty of examples before when recruiting high schoolers, but even then, it doesn’t involve a position of need with a player on your roster that would have been a starter.

Why do people bring up Burrow when it comes to the tranfer portal. It is literally apples and oranges specific to him.
he had GRADUATED from Ohio State and was told he wasnt going to really get a chance to play. So after committing to the program for almost 4 years and GOT HIS DEGREE he was a GRADUATE Transfer to LSU.

Burrow stayed long enough to graduate there and he was passed up by a younger talent. He was never going to play barring injury.
Harris had issues and needed a new start.
It's absurd to see these young guys who start and just leave to start at a rival.

I agree. I think people make freeze out to be better than he really is. He’s a good offensive coach but some people act like ole miss was a juggernaut with him. They never were competing for titles while he was there, and his biggest accomplishment is beating bama twice.

agreed, instead of "commitment" it should have the same words as the NFL
"signed a contract" - LOI after high school, or selected destination from the portal (both after agreeing to NIL deals offered before/after hitting the portal or while in high school)

This whole deal is funny. LSU fans are melting over a linebacker transferring. Some are bemoaning the entire transfer system now and wanting to burn it all down. Meanwhile, ESPN lists LSU as one of the top "Winners" in the transfer portal this cycle.

I’ll say it again for the 1000th time they have got to get rid of in-conference transferring without having to sit out a year to prevent the shite. It makes all this a joke and kids are entitled and get terrible advice from people in their lives half the time to begin with. It’s bad enough they can transfer on a whim but to be able to transfer to teams in your own conference is a joke
