re: Love this guitar solo for "While my Guitar Gently Weeps" by Prince - TexTigah81
Solo didn't fit the song or the performance at all.
This is spot on. Clapton's original on The White Album was better. He actually makes the guitar sound like it's crying and it fits the song. Prince was to busy and showboating and making it too much about himself instead of honorin...

re: George Harrison or Eric Clapton? - TexTigah81
George is one of the best slide players ever.
I wouldn't go as far as to say Harrison was one of the best slide players ever but he was definitely underrated.
His tone, melodic phrasing, and control were really exceptional.
This is true. Check-out his blues solo ...

re: Bands that have/had more than one lead vocalist. - TexTigah81
Obviously, The Beatles. John Lennon & Paul McCartney had distinctively different but good voices and could both sing rock songs as well as ballads. George Harrison had a decent voice and sang lead on all of the songs he wrote, some of which were their best, and some of their "covers...

re: Name an underrated song from a popular group or artist - TexTigah81
The Beatles had so many great songs it's ridiculous. These are some of my favorites that I think are underrated. Unless you are a Beatles' fan you may have never heard them because they weren't hits. They show how much the band grew musically in the 4 short years from the She Loves You & I Want to ...

re: John Bonham On The Beatles - TexTigah81
And I can promise you no one in the Beatles would have said a damned thing to him about it either.
I think John Lennon would have and with Lennon's violent past, probably to Bonham's face. This is what he said about Mick Jagger when he knocked the Beatles... [link=(https://w...

re: "Jaw-Dropping" footage of Led Zeppelin from MSG, 1973 - TexTigah81
I'm a LZ fan and saw them at the Assembly Center in the 70's. Always thought Jimmy Page was overrated. As can be seen in many of the live video's he trys to play too fast and misses alot of notes and his leads aren't clear. I realize his tone is heavy on distortion and he often played heavily loade...
