I believe it was a bad example but the point is no matter who the transfer is or what the situation it will always be the same. Kid transfers to LSU and he is praised. Transfers out complete opposite.

That's not really a fair assessment. When guys are clearly moving on to a better situation fans are rather fair. It's guys like Ricks and Tolan going to a rival when they have no clear ties to that program.
Arik Gilbert caught a lot of grief because he was such a head-case, but no one faulted him for going home to Georgia.

Dude you are one of the “fans” who always has to be critical of anything an LSU fan says which is critical or just making an observation regarding a player transferring.
You are a self appointed morality checker vs LSU fans and their opinions regarding any player who transfers.

You just butchered it with using Burrow as an example, and then went on to use very marginal examples
It's debatable whether Tolan improved his situation, other than NIL monies, which is perfectly within his rights.
Of course LSU fans are going to be upset when a kid that projects to start jumps at a lateral at best opportunity. Does LSU have any transfers coming that would be considered a lateral at best move for the player?

Yes, but I wasn't meaning to use Burrow as an example of doing what Tolan was doing. Burrow is just the ultimate example of LSU benefiting from a transfer. I know the circumstances were different (graduate transfer) and the rules were different, but both players did transfer from one major program to another.
You have seen two other examples of it just today. My entire point was, if you are shitting on Tolan then you should also be hating on a ton of these kids we recently got.

Step it up? LSU is a lock for a top 3 portal class idiot. If Tolan wanted to stay, the staff could have kept him. Either he didn’t want to or the staff didn’t think he was worth the price. Either way, it’s over and done with.
Just look at what has already happened with the DL and Secondary. This staff took care of business and thoroughly addressed the team’s needs. They will do the same at LB, even if some of that work has to be done in the Spring portal window.
