It was more so those of us who are knowledgeable on MBB recognizing that the lack of NIL was not a problem.
Recruiting in general has not been the problem. We’ve been near the top of the SEC and out recruiting many schools that made deep runs in the tournament.
I think we just don’t see how more NIL is the solution when recruiting has been the only good thing under MM.

For better or for worse, we have to support Admiral McMahon for at least 1 more season. I don’t think his ship is seaworthy but I’m getting on board the ship nonetheless.

It’s a good signing but just like every other summer when we r signed good players the mcmen act like we just signed Lebron James then as soon as we start to lose they bash the very same players so I’m not gonna sit here and be lectured by dishonest hypocrites when this will be the 4th year in a row they pull this little act.

At least by signing this guy we will all know, without a shadow of a doubt, if our PG play during Mcmans tenure was his fault, or just us a miss on talent.

LSU'S all time team would easily beat any school not named UCLA or UNC, and we'd still have a shot to beat those 2.
We're also in the top 15 all time NATIONALLY in Parade and McDonald's all Americans.
We've never had a problem with talent. Our problem is we usually hire losers like McMahon, Trent and and Johnny to try and coach them.
I'm far from convinced that McMahon is a good enough coach to put us in the position bama, Florida and Tennessee are in SEC basketball. The right coach will put us in that stratosphere. I'd love nothing more than for him to bring us AND STAY there.

Solid addition. He would have been the 2nd or 3rd best player on this year's team and by far the best scorer. The one drawback would be that he isn't great on the defensive side.

We lost our talented and experienced Juniors early, and Mike Williams had his issues.
Given that, our 5th year seniors couldn't make up the gap. Too many turnovers.
The freshmen were talented, but this was the 2025 SEC. The talent + experience wasn't enough after Reed and Ward were gone.

As of right now, with outgoing transfers, and graduating players. we have 2 incoming transfers and 3 HS players. Leaves us with 5 more spots to fill? Is that right?
