The #7 jersey is for the best playmaker on the team. Whether that be offense or defense. Therefore; An O linemen, by default, cannot be #7. Also, it has nothing to do with being from Louisiana. It just so happens that we had the PP7, TM7, LF7 stretch but a playmaker is a playmaker and it shouldn’t matter what state they are from. The #7 tradition is now deceased. May she rest in eternal glory. Amen

So then get rid of it. The tradition is in life support and our idea to keep it alive is a patch on an o-linemen’s jersey? Absolute nonsense. We have a quarterback that could play himself into the heisman conversation
