the OP is correct. Danielson doesn’t have a bias.

Since this board has a Bama obsession problem, they project that onto Danielson, since he does a lot of Bama games and properly speaks highly of them, since they’ve been the most dominant team in the conference for a decade.

But this board can’t handle it.

It's true, CBS' analysis on the Moss catch was kind of lame...but Nessler came out early in the 3rd to set the record straight saying that they did not have the information that the ref had ruled on the field that he was pushed out. Essentially, they owned up and moved on

Does not matter. That part of the play is NOT REVIEWABLE. They spent the entire time arguing that it would be overturned because of it.

My issue with Danielson is based on a number of games where he's praising or pushing the Bama agenda, even when they're not in the game he's covering. And he doesn't do it for Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Florida etc.
He's knowledgeable but has kinda that passive aggressive snob thing going.

I agree. On CEH’s TD catch Gary said he is going to be a great NFL player and a matchup nightmare

I know an LSU grad who is a big football fan and loves Gary. Says he is his favorite sports commentator.

I don't really have a problem with Gary. A lot of times, I can't even tell you the names of the TV guys. I don't get too wrapped up in what they say.

I find Gary annoying and think he has lost a step but this parroted narrative about his having some kind of a Bama bias is total nonsense to anyone that isn’t overly sensitive.

I just rewatched the entire Bama game with the express intent of paying close attention to the supposed massive anti-LSU (and pro-Bama) Danielson and CBS bias.

Now go watch the previous 7 Alabama games and report back.

I watch most CBS games on mute because his voice really irritates me. I also think he comes across as arrogant.

ESPN, CBS, etc. gush over LSU when we're good and don't when we're mediocre. They gush over Bama more than LSU because they're consistently better than LSU at football. That offends a lot of people around here.

Gary Danielson is the most insightful and enlightening color man in the business - by far. Interesting to hear all the Gary-bashing from people who obviously are not students of the game or never played the game and view it as nothing more than a cage-match or a parking lot fight at McDonald's.

Did you catch the part where he said "Verne would be losing his mind right now" after LSU went up 3 scores?

I don’t find Gary biased.

I just find
1) his voice tough to listen to
2) he talks too much
3) he tries to guess penalties, ref decisions, etc.. sound “football smart” and more times than not, he ends up being wrong

I think Gary is really good at his job. I wish he called every LSU game.

The obsession and hatred of Gary in this board is both dumbfounding and misguided.

I think more than anything it shows just how insecure and soft both LSU fans specifically, and Louisiana people in general, are.

Since you are obviously good at research and have the time, go back and document Gary’s comments immediately after every LSU score and do the same for Alabama’s scores. It’s subtle, but Gary appears more quiet when LSU scores and more excited when Bama does.

Gary is great.
Seems like everyone thinks every announcer hates his respective team.

Again, hear what you want to hear.

He absolutely didn't. He was in awe of Butrow and how efficient our offense was all game long.
