Props to Alleman but it was the Michael Ford outside option runs that won the game.

Which, coincidentally became Les' entire strategy in the natty. Shockingly, one coach realized you can make gameplans and adjustments based upon what you have seen previously.

That’s like a 4 year stretch and Etling was the Qb for half of those years

If we’re going to pick out individual players who won us the game of the century, I’ll take Eric Reid. We don’t win without that interception. Massive play.

I honestly feel bad for some of those guys. Les lost so many players money over the years due to incompetence. And it turns out he’s also a shitty person.

Go look at his stats from the Game of the Century.

He did not win that game. He did everything he could to lose that game, and he barely played that game.

Will never know, but 21-0 is a fact. Your bloviating is just conjecture

The fact is our OL play is terrible and Jarrett Lee fold like a lawn chair under pressure.

The facts are that his career stats vs Bama are

24/58 317 yards 1 TD and 7 Int.

You can pretend Shrodinger’s Cat is alive despite the box getting run over by an 18 Wheeler all you want, but most of us don’t need to open it to know.

but we’ll never know, will we? Because Les sat on his hands and steered the plane straight into the ground.

It was the most shameful piece of coaching i’ve ever witnessed.

he threw more to bama than McCarron did that night. The defense won that game

Idk, he was the worst QB since JL’s freshman year. Honestly, we should have just ran the wildcat instead of having him play qb because he wasn’t a threat throwing it or running it. I’m not sure why this board is so infatuated with him, I guess because he did have grit and would get yolked running into the teeth of SEC defenses.

You’re obviously not remembering what happened that night. He looked completely lost and threw two picks and was benched. Jefferson played much better than Lee and that’s the reason he was given the starting job back for the rest of the season (not saying it was the right move).

I’ll remember Etling for being one of the toughest mother frickers I’ve seen play QB for LSU. Undersized, decent mobility, and decent arm, but that dude took some damn SHOTS and still gave it everything he had. I’ll never forget him nearly getting decapitated against Auburn and still playing his arse off.

I always appreciated Anthony Jennings...no really for the Wisconsin game where reportedly he told Leslie to get out of the way and let him do his stuff during a time out.

People forget how badly the OL got raped that game. JJ had hands on him before he could drop back.

If Lee were in there with his stone feet, he might have legitimately been killed. . .or at least thrown 16 INTs

on back to back throws, iirc

I think it was a van crash.

But let’s not pretend Bama wasn’t the second best team that whole season, and the better team on Jan 9.
