Daniels is the best running QB and 2nd best passing QB in LSU history. Think about that.

It’s pretty amazing to see this much skill and calm and leadership ability in one QB. He hasn’t been perfect the whole time he’s been here. He’s had to grow. But, the way he’s playing right now is historic. If that pass had been caught at the of the Ole Miss game that hit Chris Hilton in the hands, we’re in a completely different conversation about this team and the season Daniels is having.

Depends on the rest of the season.

That's really the answer. Just imagine if we run the table and miss the playoff because of it... Because let's be honest, everyone thought this defense would be better than last year's and our offense was supposed to take a leap forward.

Heres a nightmare scenario for a fan watching rhis team. Imagine we blow out Bama, Florida and aTm then beat Georgia handily in the seccg. We still likely miss the playoff. There's probably gonna be 3 undefeated teams this year with 3 more teams that only have 1 loss to their undefeated conference Champs. We will be sitting at home.

Would still be a fun season, and 12-2 would be insane to think of as a disappointment, but that ole miss loss is potentially a history changing loss if this team wins outs but misses the playoff.

I would normally agree but wash, ou, fsu and osu/mich look like undefeated teams with their remaining schedules. Certainly not more than one loss. Only way sec gets a team in is either undefeated UGA or one loss ole miss or Bama.

If this were the BCS era, without a doubt we’d miss out on a shot and a Natty. What I think makes it interesting is the committee and the value they place on conference champions. If LSU runs the table, they would have 2 wins against (potentially)a top 10 team in Bama and the number 1 team in UGA in the last 5 weeks of the season, AND be the SEC Champs, AND have the top offense in the country.

I think the humans in that room would have a hard time leaving LSU out if that scenario plays out. Especially if it’s a convincing win against UGA.

The only scenario i think eliminates LSU entirely (outside of losing another game) is if Ole Miss manages to beat Georgia. We need to be Bama fans until, and after, we beat them. Ole Miss fans until the 11th when Georgia beats them, and win out.

That isn’t the only way. If Bama lost to Arkansas last week then ran the table no one would think they didn’t have a great shot. We have a great shot at 11-2

It’s said every year.

Last year at this time there were the same amount.

Let’s take Washington. A team that barely beat Arizona who lost to miss state.

They have to play at usc at Oregon state and Utah and wash state at home.
Plus pac 12 cg
They have a couple losses left.

I think we need 2 to falter. I still think a 1 loss sec runner up Georgia has a better shot than 2 loss sec champ lsu.

Well…you’re a wrong. We’d have:

1. Head to head in the last game of the year
2. Conference championship
3. Tougher schedule

Plus UGAs OOC was a joke. We lost to FSU in week 1

based on stats? or ability?

so hodson, jones, davey, JR, etc threw an uglier ball and could not process as fast as JD5?

you forgot the eyeball test obviously like most here.

the fact you do not think all those listed above would not have lights out passing stats in this age of offense is mind numbingly ignorant.

LSU lost to an Ole Miss team that struggled with Tulane, and this was after being throttled by Florida St. to start the year. They're not getting a Top 4 ranking or a shot at the natty no matter who they beat at this point. Jumping from the mid-20's to the Top 4 is a looooong way to go, especially with all the undefeated and one loss teams ahead of them. You would need a major meltdown to happen. And with that defense? Guys just enjoy the rest of the season and see if LSU can play spoiler.

Why would you bother typing this out? Seriously.

You’re trying to convert the faithful. These people won’t think objectively about JD. They telling you how they FEEL.

LSU was unranked at this time last year and got throttled AT HOME by Tennessee.

To start the Texas am game we were number 6.

So you mean to tell me a guy who barely completed half his passes and had 24 INTS in year 3 and 4 in the system is a superior passer?
