CPM is gone after this season, just enjoy the regional

We are one of the 64 best teams in the country and we are making the tournament. I’ve been told that CPM has already addressed the team and informed them that he will be stepping away following the conclusion of this season.
There’s no use in starting another thread calling for his job, his future has already been determined. I don’t have high expectations for us in regional play, but I always enjoy watching post season baseball and I’ll be rooting for our guys

The ceiling is probably getting to the regional final
But I’m expecting a 1-2 showing
A pathetic 0-2 would be a fitting kiss off, though. LSU baseball has never left a regional after two games to my knowledge

LSU went 0-2 at Texas in 1985. LSU hasn’t lost their opening regional game since then.

Y’all don’t think eventually the guys will say we love our coach, we came to LSU to play for Paul Mainieri and we are going to do everything we can possibly do to win for him?

I sure as hell hope so, because I'm tired of seeing that same old arse sad, depressing pic of CPM on this site whenever they lose a game.

2. why would the players make such loaded comments and tip their knowledge of the future before the season ends?

The program is in decline. Overall and conference wins totals are heading in the wrong direction and LSU is limping into regional play with little to no expectations. It is time for a change.

It is not as much of a foregone conclusion that we'll even get into a regional as you're making it out to be. Will we? Probably. But not something to just throw out there as though it's already done.
