Exactly. I’m as disappointed in this season as anyone. But the least favorite sentiment to grasp is that the overall condition of this program is top notch. Can’t win it all every year. Down seasons are just part of the journey. As painful as they are, it’s just what it is. So we will bitch and moan our way through and then get excited next February all over again.

Gonna need that NIL increase …

Hope they spend it wisely.

Good news is the game is almost over. 3 outs and we can move on and get ready to bitch again tomorrow. Not sure this team is gonna pull out of this tailspin.

Never a bad decision.

Miserable Day

They’ve committed every baseball sin in the book. Hard to win with no offense, defensive errors, mental miscues, leaving men on base, not hitting in critical situations, walking batters. At this point they need to go out and hit the pace car.
Going to have to overcome a lot. Emotionally this team looks flat right now. Add a cascade of errors and injuries and the direction is not good. Could turn it around with a couple of good innings but something has to change.

That experiment didn’t work.
It’s certainly the worst under Jay Johnson. Hard to watch when we became accustomed to a different level of play the past few years. This has all the makings of a lost season. Beyond just how bad this team is in all phases is the fact that nothing has changed from week to week. No improvements. Same problems every week. Not even playing for pride. Might be about time to hang a black veil over the intimidator.
It’s like the matrix dude. Once you see the rant for what it really is, it becomes quite entertaining.
Hard to develop instant cohesiveness and team chemistry with high turnovers. It’s not where you start its where you finish. Lots of work to be done and the issues are well exposed. Time to grind.

Not encouraged by the past couple of weeks. This team is getting abused. But it is a long season and everything is still in front of this team. A lot can and will happen. But something better change quickly because Vandy is licking their chops.
People too soon forget or maybe never truly appreciate the fact that the baseball season is a true marathon. We haven’t quite checked off a mile on this season. Wins will come and go. The season will have highs and lows. Players will get on hot streaks and go through slumps. Unless you’re playing for Shreveport, you’re not gonna win every game.

The length of the season and number of games you play are by design. You gotta have stamina, depth and focus. You gotta get knocked down and get back up. But it’s not whether you win them all. It’s whether you win the last one that makes the difference.

And if you can’t handle that, you should probably just watch replays of your favorite games from the past.

Geaux Tigers.

He hasn’t looked so hot either.

I’m not at all worried. Season is brand spanking new. Lots of changes occur as we move forward. New guys in new roles and not everything works out as you originally plan. Had high hopes for both of them. They’ll be strong coming out of the pen. Next man up.

How long does Evans remain a starter?

I understand there’s a big difference between coming out of the bullpen and being the Friday starter. Evan’s ceiling at 3 innings just ain’t cutting it. Thankfully a deep bullpen behind him. How long before he gets moved down? When he falls off he goes over a cliff. Not even close. He doesn’t fade. He disappears.

Rough Start

Team looks flat overall. Rust will get knocked off. Talent is certainly there. But this sure ain’t the way anyone envisioned opening day. At least through 5 innings.

Come on Tigers!
LFG!!!

You should probably stick to watching Takraw.
Why would anyone bitch about last nights game? It was a meaningless game played by a bunch of backups on a team that is about to go through a nearly complete rebuild. It’s like fussing about the last ride you took in your old junker on the way to trade it in on a new car.

Who cares? That ride is over.

You know, a lot of things can go into making an O Line look bad:

All good points which contributed to the overall results. However, these issues are on top of the performance we watched in 2025. This line got abused numerous times throughout the season. Can’t count the number of times I witnessed OL players on their butts at the end of a play. They did not control the line of scrimmage and were frequently pushed backwards. It was one of the worst performances I’ve seen in a very long time.
Well that post went well.

Keep trying.
And maybe consider a name change.
