Burrow didn’t average a fumble every 8 rush attempts.

Burrow didnt have to play TE or RB either.

Burrow was Mr Ohio State football, JJ was a record breaking HS Qb as well here in La. Meyer never named Burrow as starter at OSU, but neither did BK with JJ at LSU.
It will be interesting to watch his collegiate career going forward, and I hope he plays lights out like he did in HS.

Lindsey Scott Jr. grew up in Zachary, Louisiana, and attended Zachary High School. As a senior, he was named the Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year completed 163 of 255 pass attempts for 3,039 yards and 33 touchdowns with five interceptions and also rushed for 1,963 yards and 28 touchdowns.
Scott transferred from LSU and eventually had a productive FCS career.
quote:
Scott transferred to the University of the Incarnate Word for a seventh college season.[14] He was named the starter during spring practices after transferring.[15] Scott completed 18-of-25 passes for 406 yards with four touchdowns and an interception in a 55–41 upset win over FBS Nevada.[16] Scott was named the Southland Conference Player of the Year at the end of the regular season.[17] He was also named a finalist for the Walter Payton Award.[18]
In his final college season at UIW, Scott set a new FCS record for touchdown passes in a season with 60. He broke the previous record of 57, set by Jeremiah Briscoe of Sam Houston in 2016, with four TD passes in a 66–63 shootout win over Sacramento State in the FCS quarterfinals.[19] Scott's college career ended the following week with UIW's 35–32 semifinal loss to North Dakota State.[20] He finished the season with 321 completions on 453 pass attempts for 4,657 yards and 60 touchdowns and also rushed 132 times for 712 yards and 11 touchdowns.[21] Scott won the Walter Payton Award at the end of the season
Despite all that he went undrafted. He's an assistant QB coach at Texas Tech now.
I think JJ may be on a similar path if he wants to play QB.

He could get ahead of vanB. And vanB was as bad as I've ever seen

I’m not really sure what JJ’s position should be, he doesn’t look explosive enough to be a game breaking back and he looks more like a division 2 qb in arm strength and accuracy. Maybe a possession type WR if he bought in and worked on his craft but I think he will likely get passed up at RB with some transfers kiffen brings in and eventually transfer out.

He should be given the chance to at least attempt to play QB if not at LSU them somewhere like La Tech or ULM could be options.

Yea, he would probably start over Heisman finalist Julian Sayin.

Sayin wasn't good enough for Saban at Bama. Lol

Possible…………extremely unlikely but… anyway. Thank you for that.

No. At LCA he was phenomenal against small to medium sized schools. Against Ruston he threw 5 interceptions. I never watched a ton of his highlights, but my guess is there were a ton of passes to wide open targets. That’s not going to happen at the college level. He needs to commit to being a RB or Safety, and he may have a shot at the next level.
