When its a tricep. You do not point directly to the elbow in the exact area that is a UCL Injury. Not Hard to Understand that Johnson was just throwing out BS with the Tricep comment so as to not giveaway injury info.

Moore, paz, evans, and schmidt will be a pretty damn good start. Wont need much pitching from the portal
If the goal is to make or maybe host a regional then sure. It’s a decent group

If the goal is to make it to Omaha, he’s getting a starter out of the portal

Moore has 2 SEC starts to his name, one bad and one below average. He’ll be a senior next year. Decent chance he’s odd man out. If so, he’s not ending his career in the bullpen. Certainly not for a non-contender

I hate this for him, but Moore returning next season is a new silver lining development for the team next year. I hope his surgery and rehab go smoothly.

If Sheerin returns, that could be the makings of a very experienced and deep staff. Although I kind of doubt he returns unless he gets first crack at a starting role.

If you think Moore and Schmidt have been the main problems with the staff, then you don’t have any idea what you’re talking about.

Evans hasn’t been great as a starter, but he’s had moments where we’ve seen the elite stuff and we all saw what’s he’s capable of in very high pressure situations in a different role last season. He’s a sophomore who will have a full year of starting experience under his belt, but feel free to just count him out as a fricking bum, I guess

Even if Evans doesn’t work out, there is the possibility of Sheerin returning if offered a chance to start. Did you miss him turning off the water on the best offense we’ve faced all season? You’ve got a very promising young prospect in Paz who’s starting to look ready to make a move up. Then you’ve got the wide open portal to bring in arms to challenge whoever returns.

Forget the early projections- this is at least a very solid foundation to build on for next year. It’s sure as frick a lot better than rebuilding the entire starting staff like we had to this year.

Get another proven starter. Move evans back to the pen and let him pitch twice a weekend instead of once.

I’m not opposed to moving Evans back to become the top reliever, but I would try like hell to sell Sheerin on that starting job before dumping money into an unknown quantity. We’ve seen what Sheerin can do in the SEC when healthy. If he can work on extending beyond what he did Sunday, then he’s your Friday or Saturday starter.

That’s how you end up with Thatcher Hurd going from Friday night guy to deep in the bullpen in 2024, and years like this year.

Evans has struggled a good bit, but still not as much as Hurd did.

The Hurd comparison doesn’t apply to Moore or Schmidt at all.

Schmidt’s control has been an issue his entire career. I just don’t see the dawg in him.

Schmidt has improved more year to year than anyone on this staff, and it’s not even remotely close. Did you sleep through last season?

I think he’s gone

After the next portal I have doubts that Jay would be able to go to him and his 6.75 SEC ERA and say his spot in the starting rotation is secure. He didn’t come here to pitch out of the bullpen. He’s a logical transfer

Very misleading stat when a lot of this on his defense or he gets yanked early in an inning only for someone to come behind him like Rizzy and just put it all on him. Go look at Rizzy's era and tell me that says the entire picture of Rizzy coming into games.

There’s nothing misleading about loading the bases with 0 outs and forcing your manager to come get you long before he should because your stuff is not up to par. There’s a reason those runs still get charged to him, he’s not a victim of circumstance

Evans and Schmidt are likely first round picks. You don't know anything about the sport if you think they are Sunday/Midweek guys.

Lmaol

They dont pitch like it

Skenes, Anderson, and Eyeanson are first rounders

TOTAL different class than Evans and Schmidt

Would love to know whose alter you are. The entirety of your posting history about LSU baseball is just bitching and moaning.

Don't think it's Burreauxx.

Anyway, list the returning rotations as of April of 2026 that look to be better? Would love to hear what you have to say on the matter.

The issue is, Evans would have a problem with that And I wouldn't blame him.

A lot of them don't, no.

Some do, but they have no idea what they're watching most of the time.
