I almost feel bad for the guy but his actions are clearly extremely trashy. If Jay Johnson ever acted like that and failed to apologize or own it our fan base would rightfully crucify him.

He did join good company: managers/coaches thrown out of championship games.
The ones I can remember: Earl Weaver in the 69 world series and Bobby Cox in the 91 world series. Weaver was either game 3 or 4, but if I recall, Cox got tossed in that great game 7 that year.

Take out the hate because you’re an LSU fan and watch exactly what happened and it was a very bad ejection.
He started arguing balls and strikes immediately. The ump gave him multiple warnings before giving him a final warning and writing it down in his book. If your next reaction after that is to run out of the dugout and tell the guy to go frick himself, then you are too stupid and irrational to be a leader of men.

People defending this dude need to just stop and think about how often you see a college HC get in an umps face.
Almost never. It’s extremely rare.
Even the vitellos and van horns of the world know to yell from the dugout if you want to yell. And even then there’s short leash.
This dude is just a roided asshat.
I feel sorry for his wife.

He is owed the explanation of why his bench received a warning
And he got one. And then he continued arguing still after that.

It was probably a quick trigger given the stage, but by the letter of the rule he should have been tossed. The jackasses definitely proved that they deserved it.

Id feel bad for him if he had a terminal illness or lost a family member.
Getting ejected for being an idiot? Nah, not even disappointed for him. He got what he deserved.

If you watch the replay it looks like it matches up with Schnalls story. He does stand up and immediately give a “peace sign”
Schnall said he stood up and said “two game suspension, bumping an umpire” … Schnall said he was then arguing that he didn’t even touch him and then that’s the “excessive arguing” part

The ump did tell him why the warning was issued. Why do you think he then repeatedly said “you’ve missed 3 pitches”.
He did but he didn’t leave the dugout to argue balls and strikes. Insane to me you eject a HC in the first inning of a natty over something so stupid.
If they’d done that to LSU this place would be a mental ward.

All that is irrelevant. In my 73 years I've know many angry men. Many bullies. Some of the grow up. Many never do and they end up bitter. Schnall may be grown, but he comes across as immature. I pray he finds some peace and perspective.

They play in the freaking Sunbelt.
By that calculation LSUS just had the best college baseball season ever.

But he doesn’t have to do that. He is owed the explanation of why his bench received a warning. In my opinion, the ump escalated it by not just telling him why the warning occurred. That’s where it started.
The head coach is filled up with so much bravado when the umpire told him to get back to the dugout he acted like no one could talk to him like that.
He got the warning while he was in the dugout. He knew the umpire was writing down the warning. He THEN proceeded to leave the dugout, hear the ump tell him it was for balls and strikes now get back in the dugout and he decided it was a good idea to scream out the ump and motion "beacuse you've missed 3 strikes!"
I have zero sympathy for him. It was the first inning and he's getting tossed for arguing balls and strikes as if his very own catcher isn't praised for stealing the most strikes in the country. The ump hasn't even had time to settle into the game yet.

Did he really say he was being held accountable for another man’s athleticism? What was that?

With that face, he is not burning it off with sex.
