The damage that he caused could not be repaired in two seasons; O caused this damage, and that is why he is gone.

But, I'm not just gonna go along with troglodytes who attribute ALL success to CBK (who deserves it) while STILL blaming Ed O for what's wrong 2 seasons after he's gone.

Ed Orgeron decimated the LSU football team in 2 short years. Brian Kelly has done a phenomenal job resurrecting the program. The challenges he still faces are still due to how Orgeron left the roster. Is that hard for you to understand?
If Ed O were still in charge, we likely would’ve been 4-8 the last 2 years.

Kelly brought in: Daniels (kinda important), Campbell, Jones, Frazier, Taylor, Diggs, Lacy, Jackson, Perkins, Wingo, Jefferson, Foucha, Brooks, Garner, Sam, JBC.

Surely, SURELY .... you're not saying that Coach O deserves some percentage of the CREDIT for this year's success because he brought in Malik and BTJ?
Because that makes sense. If Coach O is liable for issues with the team to this day, then he also deserves credit for things he got right ... 2 years later.

Cbk is 4x the black of Les ace O, give him time, he has fixed one side of the ball and is bringing talent on that side, he has identified an issue on the defensive side and will work to fix it. Your crazy if you don’t think in the next 3 years he won’t get us to the ship or at least top 5 finish, give him time he is crushing it but has had some bumps in the road he has it handled and is absolutely crushing expectations

I don’t think anyone has said Kelly has been perfect, no coach is. But people understand that he hasn’t been able to play with a full deck yet and Orgeron has a huge part to play in that.

You are not too bright. The 39 Scholarship players (which was the actual total) available for the Kansas State bowl game was a fact. Baskerville and Emory were on Scholarship but not available to play so we had 41 left over from O.
Kelly signed 15 out of HS and brought in 15 Portal guys for 2022. LSU was at 71 players on 247 composite. LSU brought in 15 more from portal in 2023. LSU was at 80 Scholarship players to start 2023 (Still short of the 85 limit). Based on Seniors and JR's like Malki and BT JR going pro, and LSU will likely have a few guys hit the portal, LSU will have to go to the portal again this year and maybe get 8-10 this year, better than 15 each of the last 2 years, but still we need guys from the portal.
Teams like UGA, Bama, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan did not have to bring in 30 portal guys the last 2 years.
In summary, the mess that O left is still having a residual effect and will so going into the 2024 season.
