wife has no problem with it
the toddlers on the other hand could give two shits about it and don't make it easy to watch an entire baseball game

nah. Baseball has grown on my wife b/c I watch every game. She now watches it with me and knows the roster better than most of this board. She was about to pop a Xanax in the 8th and 9th last night.
My wife is not a big baseball fan, nor even a LSU fan. But last year she grew to enjoy watching the games by watching the CWS with me because it felt like there was a "big game" essentially every night. There was! 8 games in 10 days.
This year I've caught her watching some of these regional games even when she's in a room by herself. A person who previously never cared much about LSU sports. She's not 100% invested. But she's not annoyed if they are on and my attention pulled elsewhere. In fact, she even asked me this morning if I was really sure I was ok picking up the kids from camp because she knew it would be close to the start of the game and offered to change her schedule to do so just so I wouldn't miss the start. This is the same person who used to get aggravated I would blow 4 Saturdays in the fall going to home football games
Hell, last night she was MUCH more of a nervous wreck in the 9th inning than I was

Us men who have wives that love sports are fortunate. Mine is with me every step of the way. Whether it’s football, baseball, basketball etc.

Nah I was having to explain to my wife why I was watching Grand Canyon/Arizona earlier this weekend. It was like this:

I was upfront with my wife since we started dating that I was a sports fan. If she wasn't ok with it then we probably wouldn't have continued dating much less get married. Can't imagine marrying someone that's going to put you in the doghouse every time your team is in the postseason.

Why would that upset her? I'm not leaving anything at the house neglected to watch baseball. I managed to have all of my affairs in order before the games started.

Every time the wife walked past the TV yesterday, "LSU is still playing?"
My wife and daughter repeated this several times yesterday....

Mine watches every game with me.

I can pretty much get out of anything when the Tigers are on. She is a good, understanding wife and lets me do my thing. During football season friends will call and want to do something on Saturday and she will just look at me. I either nod yes or no. If no, she automatically tells them the Tigers are on. Can't make it.

my wife had no connection whatsoever to LSU before me. She's given me a lot of grace despite not really caring or really being into watching sports in general. I return the favor by generally watching most of the LSU games on my tablet so she and our girls can watch whatever on our big TV until they go to bed. I've tried my best to get my wife to like baseball as much as I do, but it just isn't going to take.
Suggestion: Tell her you will perform oral sex for her every time LSU scores a run!

My husband knew and I had dibs on the big TV lol - I've already said the UF/OKSt game best be over by 5pm because I am changing the channel no matter what. No messing up the mojo allowed. Geaux Tigers!

to be fair, i did catch up on chores during the week and she made the comment "oh this is why you were mowing in the dark the other night, huh?"

My wife has the game on before I can even get to the remote and is right there yelling at the umps with me

it took me almost a year to dig myself out of the doghouse from last June and dammit if the tigers aren't getting me in trouble all over again and the month has barely begun.
Sounds like you have a shitty wife.

You were in the doghouse for watching LSU play and win the Championship last year?
I can almost give non-fans a pass for last year. We were playing like every night for 2 weeks straight

And baseball is absolutely a sport you can still multi-task and do things and not miss much.

Ha, in my house I, the wife, is the sports fanatic. Lunch is cooked before game time. Don't ask me for anything once the games start. Dinner on gameday? There's PB&J in the cupboard or leftovers from lunch.
