There has only been one LSU-Miami matchup in December and that was in Atlanta.

Nope. The 1988 'Canes game was played the week of Thanksgiving. And it was basically played IN the hurricane. (I believe it was actually the rains that preceded Tropical Storm Keith.)

I was there. Started off the game with an onside kick after Auburn was penalized for jumping on eye of the tiger during pre game warmups. Little Nicky had them ready to play.

You weren’t too far from me.

I was in (using the old Tiger Stadium seating chart) Section 15, Row L, Seat 9.

Went to it. Forgot it was in December. All I remember about December 2001 is seeing all the Tennessee fans walk in the Georgia dome with roses. Was a sweet night

I was only 13 so if my memory failed here forgive me, but I recall a nasty, foggy, cold, drizzly day. Hurricane forced this game into December, but back then any game following Tulane did not seem was suppose to happen. To make it worse the tigers lost 20-6.

Has everyone forgotten that bludgeoning of Ole Miss on Dec. 5, 1970 (on national TV): Tigers 61, Rebels/Black Bears/Land Sharks 17. It was the night it rained oranges in Tiger Stadium.
