Been a season ticket holder for 10 years. Never attended a road game. Bought tickets to the LSU vs Oregon game in Dallas. I had a work issue, and my wife and her sister went to Dallas. They had a large time at the game and shopping.

You caught me. I've never even watched a baseball game in the Box, and never been to an away game of any kind.
I have been to many football games in TS.

This is a horrible way to judge someone's fandom. I have travelled to games because I had the opportunity to. Some people just don't have that opportunity to travel. Doesn't make them any less of a fan.

Not only this, but many people don't have the time. If you have kids, a wife etc... it's not easy to pick up and go to an away game. I'm single, but still don't have time to make an away game every year. If I make every home game, that's 7 (6 this year) weekends right off the bat. That's a huge chunk of time. When I have time, I'll make an away game, but it might be every 2-3 years.
To go to an away game, you are leaving at least on Friday, if not earlier, and not getting back until late Sunday. Some people just don't have the time. Hopefully, when my child is grown I'll have time to make a couple road games a year, but for me, and many others, it's just hard to do.

This entire thread is stupid.

I'm the opposite. I've never seen a game at Alex Box or Tiger Stadium. I've only ever seen them at away/neutral sites.

BillF and kjntgr are some miserable fricks if that is how they define an LSU fan. Hey you two, maybe most of the people on here have jobs and/or family that might make it difficult to travel. And yes, I have traveled to watch the Tigers, but that is hardly the definition of a true fan.

There are pros and cons to both.

We only geaux to the games that the ticket prices are so high that you can't afford them, and then yell our heads off to the point of laryngitis so the you may enjoy the roar of the crowd on your Vizio at home.

This took way to long to read. Try again

Some folks have real lives, certain employment or financial constraints. It happens. There's a reason T.S. only holds 102,000 despite a state population of over 4,000,000, the same for other sports venues.

"Ellick" Box only holds 11,000...

I drove from BR to Natchitoches and watched the 03 Sugar Bowl on TV.

Does that count?

My senior year I went to every home and away game including the bowl. We only had four away games that year (Arky, UF, aTm, and Auburn). Have also been to Bama, UGA, Ole Miss, Miss State, and Tenn.

Don't travel as much anymore, but I try my best to do one a year. This year is UT.

Went to Oxford the year Eli tripped over his chin. Those people are assholes. Went to A&M once. It was like the surface of the sun. It was non conference then.

Always nice to go to other stadiums/ball parks. Our fans travel really well. Omaha, old Rosenblatt Stadium, we out numbered the Longhorns 2-1; Dallas for Oregon game maybe 3-1; for Houston Classic at Minute Maid Park, 2-1 whoever we played; Hover for SEC Tourney, 2-1 vs everyone but Miss St. It's great to see the Tiger Faithful show up. But aso been to other venues such SEC Championship in Atlanta and see 50% Tiger fans when we played Ga was awesome. Have traveled to Ole Miss, Auburn, TA&M, South Carolina and witnessed victories at each location and was glad to see a large Tiger turn out. The away trips are always better when you're driving home with a win.

I'm legally blind. It's MUCH easier to see what's going on if I watch the game on TV. And even then, it's still hard. But, I've been watching my entire recolectable life. I've learned how, if I can't tell on my own, to gauge if a player caught a ball or not by the crowd reaction. That said, I was in Tiger Band, so I attended numerous games then. And I still try to make one every year or two just for the live atmosphere of tiger stadium. Nothing beats the exilerating pageantry of the LSU pregame experience.

ETA: Furthermore, I don't think it's fair to judge people's level of fanhood of which games they have or haven't attended. Some people have the time, money, and/or ability. Many don't.

I have attended football away games 1 Oxford, 3 Gainesville, 2 Citrus Bowls and in all of those cases I had to scrimp and save to go with a lot of financial hardship. How dare you imply that because you are wealthy enough to afford to go to away games you are a better LSU fan. GEAUX to Hell a-hole!
