I thought the water boy might get to call few plays.

This is really strange. Weiss will be OC and call the plays during playoffs? He is already at LSU. Fans boo'd him, gave him middle fingers, shouted obscenities at him. Here's the strange part--LSU will be the one paying Kiffin for every playoff game OM wins, and pay addtl $1 mil to Kiffin if OM wins the natty. How bonkers is that? Espn and sports writers will have a field day with this one.

So it’s ok by the OM brass to use CWJ but not the entire fricking staff CLK offered them?

What fools they look like.

We should thank them. Kiffen didn’t want to keep going because he thought they had no chance. Win it all players and coaches go in more directions than just LSU. And having the OC stay is strange.

Pipe down, boomer. Weis is coaching specifically because there was a chance they would be left out or severely punished due to the unprecedented exit of offensive staff. The players don’t deserve to be punished because the Ole Miss AD is a petulant child.

Go read Kiffin’s statement for further confirmation.

Is there a chance that Lane is sending him in as a spy to help lure some players in the portal once that opens up?

No way that's true.

This allows Lane to stay and recruit for us while Charlie can bring continuity to them. Lane has more responsibilities to us than Charlie does. So that’s why it makes sense to not let Lane coach there bc we need his undivided attention in Baton Rouge. We don’t need Charlie’s at this time but late we will.

Listen moron, there is not a chance in hell the committee would leave Ole Miss out. No fricking chance. They would be excoriated by the media if they did. Even if they wanted to, they wouldn’t do it. Lane allowing Charlie to go back in coach is step 1 of Lane trying to rehabilitate his image after a week of burning it to the ground.

So he’s going throw on Ole Miss gear for the game and then switch to LSU gear right after and head back to Baton Rouge no longer affiliated with Ole Miss? I understand it, but this is beyond weird.

KamaCausey, here it is from ESPN and WBRZ: "Lane Kiffin's contract with LSU includes the unique clause that he will receive a payment equal to the amount he would have earned for coaching Ole Miss in the upcoming College Football Playoff, according to a term sheet obtained by ESPN on Monday.

Kiffin, who agreed to a seven-year contract with LSU on Sunday that will pay him $13 million annually, will receive the same CFP bonus from LSU that he would have if he had remained with Ole Miss through this postseason. That begins at $150,000 for the Rebels' participation in a first-round CFP game, increases to $250,000 for participation in a quarterfinal and tops out at $1 million if Ole Miss wins the national championship."
