Can anyone confirm this? I never listened to the show.

He 10000% said it during the radio show on Thursday.

Here’s the link of him saying it below.

I definitely heard a clip of him saying it. It very well may have been out of context

He definitely did, and seems to be embarrassed by being confident in his team? I see nothing wrong with owning it... "Yeah, I thought we had a great week and we felt good going into the game and going shot for shot with a great team in a physical game - which is what I meant by 'beat the heck out of them'. Obviously that didn't happen."

I took it to mean "We are going to fight like hell against FSU". I think he just mixed up his phrasing. I highly doubt BK would purposely say LSU was going to beat the #8 team in the country badly on a radio show.

Probably the most out of context quote ever. He was talking about traveling and transfers and freshmen and basically trying to calm all of the hype, then said laughing “I mean we are still going to go beat the heck out of Florida state”

Most overblown comment I’ve probably ever seen pushed so hard

Think he was denying saying it in a derogatory way and it was taken out of context? But not really sure that was a strange answer to the question

He said “beat the heck out of”, you can try to twist it around for him, but that’s what he said and it was stupid

I agree. He said it. I just don't think this is his "Sissy blue" equivalent. Coach O meant what he said. I just doubt that BK was trying to say LSU was going to beat FSU. I think his mistake was wording, not intent.

BK got a little passionate there at the end

I think he made a mistake, but he meant what he said. It’s out of character for him but he let it slip.

The reporter who asked about it kinda let him off the hook. He started kinda "have you heard about people taking you outta context/ what'd you mean" and then went to "cuz I didn't hear you say that".

Very odd to deny it after the fact.

He did make the comment because it raised an eyebrow when I heard it on the radio show. But it was a relatively mild comment and is not worth making a big deal out of.

I just heard the press conference. I don’t think Kelly did a good job of fielding that question. He denied making the comment, but the tape exists.

He handled the rest of the press conference well.

Tried to discuss this early on another thread. People hear what they want to hear. It was obviously a sarcastic/Joking/tongue-in-cheek comment but rantards want it to be a smoking gun against the coach they didn't want in the first place.

It seemed like he said it off the cuff right after talking about all of the freshmen traveling for the first time as if he wasn't making excuses.
